    1400-20 rims and tires

Its very easy for a little material to get into the ring area and cause a slow leak. I had several and would pull them apart and clean the area and reassemble. No issues since.

    Oil pressure regulator

Two gauges and two pressure senders. The pressure sender should have the psi rating stamped on it. Mine did. Then make sure the gauge and sender match. I also pulled my oil pressure regulators and cleaned them up. This helped as well to get my pressures where I think they should be. I get...

M932A1 with shorter drop side deuce bed

These are commercial brakets and flaps. No fab work just drill two holes and install. I got the ones that allow the most rearward mud flap mount.

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

This will probably be the last body off restoration I do, too much work and expense. I know I will probably never get my money out of the truck but it will be fun the first parade I do with the 50 bmg on the gun pedestal.

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Looks like your project is progressing quickly. I finally have my 43 WC 52 running again. Just about done and ready to finish up the front and begin on the bed. Like your bed mine is very rough and will need all 4 corners redone. The weather here is going to get cold so I won't be doing much...

Question about an M820 Cummins engine

Maybe I'll start adding a little 2 stroke oil in my diesel for my NHC250. I know the multifuels really like it.

Question about an M820 Cummins engine

Disconnecting the fuel compensator doesn't make a multifuel a diesel only engine. It just means that other fuels won't produce rated power. They'll still run fine on many different types of fuels even when mixed. My M35a2 has the compensator disconnected and it runs great even with mixed...

    M923A1 Abs Light

Correct ! I would try a couple of hard brake pumping actuations to see if you can loosen things up. If that doesn't work then follow what's recommended above. I had the same issue until I did this and drove the truck every so often. Now its great ! I love my tructor :)

    M923A1 Abs Light

Well I pulled the connectors off the alternator and found the excite wire had the insulation torn! I covered it up put everything back together and it works ! Interesting how a problem can be the result of another issue. I will keep an eye on it though just to make sure.

    M923A1 Abs Light

Well my abs light came back on. I checked the two fuses, they are ok, I checked the ecu connection its clean and ok, when I start up the truck it goes through it check and its ok. The funny thing is sometimes the light comes on after driving a bit or even after starting and idling a bit...

    Driving a 5 ton... topless!

Switching over to Dex 3 in the transmission helps it shift a little smoother. I'm glad I did mine. I get my oil at the farm supply, Rotella 15w-40 heavy equipment oil. I just replaced all four batteries and added a block heater to the tructor. Its been two weeks since I last drove mine so...

    Driving a 5 ton... topless!

Jeff, truck looks good. I think you have confirmed to your mom that your not "gay" ;) (inside joke) Spring will be here soon enough and it will be nice to have another 9 series truck driving around in the parades and at shows.

    M35A2C vs M923

When I put air o matic steering on my deuce it changed the character of the truck. Its much more pleasant to drive. For me its a toss up. I like my deuce for parades and shows. It just looks military and the old guys like me readily recognize them and have good memories of the truck. Besides...

    NHC 250 Block Heater Inst.(PICS)

Got the new batteries installed, wow what a difference. I also installed the block heater. Not difficult but drained out about 7.5 gallons of coolant to install. When I pulled the plate off I still lost about another 1/2 qt or so. I was pleased my coolant didn't look too bad. I did install...

    M35A2C vs M923

I like both my deuce and 932 but for different reasons. If you can afford to keep both do it. I have both my vehicles historic plated so my cost of keeping them is very low. When I drive them it goes up much more in the 5 ton since I get about 6.5 mpg vs. 10 mpg with the deuce.

    NHC 250 Block Heater Inst.(PICS)

My M932A1 Tructor doesn't like anything below 40F so I think I'll be installing one of these as well. Just put 4 of the 6TL batteries on order, that hurt the pocket book ! Great post, thanks.

In addition to switching over to Dextron 3 I also adjusted my tranny linkage at the IP this also helped. When cold my tranny shifts a little hard when warm its great.
