I might add about the daily driver, If they both fail to start or run I can still walk the 1 1/2 miles to work. No problem. My wife has her Jeep for groceries and such. I would think hard about an MV for a daily driver if I had a longer commute. Job comes first in that respect.:beer:

I drive either my bobber or deuce EVERY DAY with my own fuel mix modified according to weather. I sold my pickup after I got the bobber on the road. BTW Uncle...

As far as burning up your converter, the life or death of it is determined buy the quality of the unit. Buy cheap -- Get cheap. Buy top of line -- Get somewhere between cheap and top of line. Take the shot and give us updates. Don't take the shot and always wonder.2cents
With what experiences I've had the converter CAN put out 10A but as the load decreases ie. battery becoming charged, the output lowers as the load decreases. I also agree with CBVET that a disconnect and meter are in order. without a monitoring circuit the converter would eventually boil the...
----I bought this for my M548. Allows up to 4 cameras . With no mirrors on the 548 visability backing up can be a bad ----
With a vehicle that tough:drool: I figured you'd back up till it sounded expensive then just pull away:)
Drilled and bolted with grade 8's and locknuts.(Pain in tush) Not fond of welding on frames.(that's just me)
When I install my trailer hitch I will vertical plate the the frames together. Didn't have time before the Veterans Day Parade. Mudflaps fore and aft the rear axle are also in the works.

Mine did the same though not immediately. I changed the oil one evening, started and checked for leaks - none. Next morning I drove to work and saw a little oil puddle when I parked. I was 1 1/2 gallons short. The mile and half to my house had a nice black streak in the road.
