As noted kanderson@newventures.org works for one of the 2 companies that make the pins for the US Gov. I have been in contact with them. Here is the deal;
The contact name is Ken Anderson. He seems to be a very nice guy to work with.
They make both the 3/4 and 1" pins using the process as...

Can anybody tell me about the wheels and tires on the M989A1 trailer?
Specifically, what size are the tires and how wide is the wheel and what is it rated for capacity wise?
Has anybody put these wheels on the M915/916/920?? If so, how did they fit/work/track?
Thanks in advance....
Thrust,
After looking at your avatar and the decal it has...

And centered on the tailgate and on both doors the decal.....
In case Thrust ever changes his avatar, picture of it attached so that this post will make sense...lol.
Garret,
Very cool build! Defiantly not your average project that is for sure! I agree with some of the others that I might have done some of the things a bit differently, but just about no matter what it is, 10 custom jobs are going to have 10 different designs....lol.
Thanks for posting...
I just finished reading to the end (Page #2, Post #18) of the thread "Completely Random" where the OP was asking about why/how a multi fuel worked. (For reference, here is a link: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/alternative-fuels/68037-completely-random.html )
While reading that, and especially...
No price in an ad is one of the most irritating things there is about shopping on the internet or in printed materials, (Auto trader, local "Shopper" and so forth).
About the only thing worse than posting no price is when car dealers say, "$500 Down" I want to pay cash for it, not finance it...
While you can get a Bell 206 series for the mid $300,000 price range, the price they are asking is actually a pretty reasonable for a fairly rare, airworthy, turbine engine helicopter with new paint and a current FAA inspection. Especially a cool one like that... :)
Want to spend some time in...
Not saying your wrong but I have never seen grade 8 hardware at Lowes and I sure would not want standard grade 5 bolts.
Just wondering, why not just use the bolts that came with the clevises?
The wheel base on Soni's truck has not been altered. You can put 1600x20's on it if you want. Others on this site have in fact done so.
If your purchasing a M920 you might want to read over this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/5-ton-mods-hot-rodding/62594-m916-m920-tech-tips.html it has...
Ahah! Your right! Amazing...lol... Thanks!
That "Swench" is pretty cool. The electric rescue tool that have is not to bad either! I wish we had that when I was riding the truck! Looks to be far faster, easier, lighter than the hydraulic stuff we used. Even the new hydraulic stuff has nothing...
Sweet!:jumpin:- Thanks... For some reason I forgot about that...!!:cookoo:
I bet like almost all motors you can mod it some to wake it up and get more usable power and not tear it up though.. :driver::driver:
First: VERY nice looking build so far!! I want to see it when your done!.
As for the door question: Seems to me a LOT of work for no gain at all in functionality. In fact, your likely to get a REDUCTION in functionality for all your efforts. Almost all of the attempts to do something like that...
There are some places to order it but probably the best way is to contact a local towing company ans ask where they get theirs from. That way you go directly to the place, tell them exactly what you want, what kind of ends, hooks and so forth. They cut and make it up for you right on the spot...
