Hey thanks guys. I gave Greg Gibson from Central Oregon a call earlier and he said he doesn't do appraisals for these trucks. He also had no idea whom to contact otherwise. I'll keep a at it.
Hey everyone,
I need to get an appraisal on the value of my 1986 M925 for use as collateral on a loan. Does anyone know of any good military truck appraisers in Oregon that can travel to the Redmond Oregon area?
If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. I'm approved for the loan...
Well the thing is the truck has to be put up on a flatbed or step deck trailer to be brought back home. I would be interested to know what it'll cost to bring it home. The trucks been down there over a year now.
GoodguyZy please pm me and let me know what it would cost if that's not too much...
Like the subject says need someone to transport my M923A1 home to Beaverton, oregon (portland area) the sooner the better. Any help would be Greatly appreciated.
hi paul,
Im ryan, i was just there in bend but had to move back to the valley due to work, listen i just wanted to give you and the other guys there in central oregon a heads up if you have a canvas on the back of your 5 tons or deuce and a half's it would be a good idea to take them off, mine...
Really I think it depends on you, weather or not it bother's ya to have old rugged insulation versus new shiny insulation :P i have 2 vehicles, one with some thats new ant the other descent. Just personal preference is all
Yea but see they took the canvas off the back but left all the bows? why? They also left the canvas top to the truck and the canvas supports for the cab? I think due to its weight and size. A hunter stole it and used it to make a tent, I doubt it was a bum because its too heavy and theres no...
If anyone has seen this canvas or know anything about who may have stolen it please pm me or call me at 503-206-1164 thanks
p.s. the canvas is off the truck on my avatar.

ill check out the site, yea im a CNC Machinist/Programmer lol, military trained and bout 11 years experience so i knew i could drill it out no problem, used a EZ out to get the remaining plug out. The threads perfect but the plug needless to say is gone lol. It is strange how they made the plug...
Like the title says, I am in need of a drain plug for my middle axle. I had to do a repair on my bearing seals and the plug was seized so i had to drill it out. Does anyone here have any idea where to get one? I normally use Ericks Military Surplus but I did not see anything on his site. Any...
a dead giveaway from the M923A1 vs a M923A2 from the outside view is the axle pumpkin, the A2 is flat on the bottom while the A1 is rounded. So i know its a A1 with no turbo, ironically i drove my M925A1 180 miles over what we call the santiam pass out here and its a lot of hills. it did well on...
Just a update, according to the OREGON CDL manual for a m923 or m925 it turns out that you do need one by law. The reaon is defined in the beginning of the book where it states that anything over 26,000 lbs GVW OR GVWR requires a cdl. Now my trucks are both around 23,000 lbs but because the GVWR...
Yea inside that it shows 27 quarts. But its hard to read, its barley visible in the manual. I think the type says OE/HDO 30? Never heard of that. Google defines it as Oil, Engine, Heavy Duty. which makes sense, and ive heard you can get equivalent diesel engine oils at walmart as well which is...
Hey everyone, i was just woundering if anyone knew right off hand what the engine oil requirements are for this truck. Its the A1 so its the NHC 250 Motor. thanks :D
