Don't know if this will help in Germany, but there are a lot on eBay right now. Art's Parts in MN has been a good source, but it looks like he may be getting out. Riv-Rad/muttparts has had some, but supplies are shrinking. TNJ Murray and others have some, especially common M-series parts.
Anybody have a source for the rubber boot that goes over the parking brake handle? No luck trying to match the part #- I had hoped that would have been one of the standard M series parts, but apparently not. Grainger and Northern Tools didn't have anything that looked like it would work.

In its original habitat. Carrier shows efforts of about 5 gallons of paint stripper and 30-40 hours of chipping. Finally gave up and had it soda blasted. Will try to get some more recent 'afters' up soon.
Thanks- I joined DD last year right before the Huntsville convention, hoping to have a full up round with the Goat at that time. Missed by a few months. I'm going to try to make it to Mobile in April, and one or both of the airshows at Auburn and Enterprise.
Finally have this thing sort of running after about 5 years of wrestling with it. Picked it up at a storage lot near DC. It had done time with the city of Kill Devil Hills NC as beach trash collector, which took its toll on the non-aluminum components (original tailgate was 90% interconnected...
My Goat was fitted with cutoff switches on each battery and a toggle master on/off switch on the dash somewhere along the way. Turned the toggle off, but left the cutoffs on (by mistake) after moving it a few days ago. Tried to start 2-3 days later, got about 1&1/2 turn, then it died completely...

I don't have my op manual nearby, but I remember a reference to max 4 inches waveheight. There was also a radar van that could be put in the back, and I think that configuration was prohibited from swimming because of the large surface for the wind to act on. As you...

Some information is out there (maybe on this site) on 350 s/b conversions.
Do the homework on amphibious operations. It doesn't have much tolerance for currents or waves. Weight distribution is a pretty big deal when swimming.
Good luck with it, they're a lot of fun.

Another source, at least as of a couple of years ago, is www.suddenserviceinc.com
Taylor forklifts use the iron block 353, and SSI is their on-site maintenance affiliate.
Thanks for all the tips, now have the top secured in the front. Follow up question- the vertical pieces in front of the rear bow dangle about an inch over what looks like the receptacle hole in the sill. Am I missing a connector piece, or is my frame sticking up higher than it should?
Trying to put a soft top on my Goat that was received open air- no windshield, no top, no frame. Question involves attaching the leading edge of the top to the windshield. I see the channel at the top of the w/s, and I see the very small tube/loop sewn into the front of the top. I've had 2 soft...
Does anyone have a part number for a Goat wheel bearing, or better yet, a good source? For the front wheel if it makes any difference. Sure hope gamagoat.com is only temporarily down.
