That would be awesome, but I'd hate to make high-grade nuke fuel so accessible to those who would use it for evil. On another note, Nuke plants and subs/carriers don't run directly on nuke power, but rather on the steam that they produce. Who wants to go back to steam? LOTS of torque...
Walmart batteries will work just fine, they just won't last for very long. I suggest group 31 size batteries for more cold cranking amps.
