When I stopped watching those generators, the 002 labeled as a 003 was at $2500. That's insane! Someone's going to get a dissapointment when they go to pick it up. I was hoping to get a 002 out of the batch, but didn't win any.
Should be as simple as plug it into the device that needs to be slaved, then plug it into the vehicle you're slaving off of. It's a set of jumper cables, just made easy.
Are the MEP-002 and MEP-003 A/C Output Control boxes the same? I don't have my laptop with me and the TMs on jatonka's website doesn't seem to have the parts breakdown TMs. Seems like they would be considering the main difference between the 2 models are the engine and generator head.

There is a temperature switch inline with the starting circuit I believe. It's located in the shutter housing. Perhaps the machine got too hot because the shutters did not open and kept it from restarting until it cooled sufficiently.

As soon as I saw your first pic, everything fell into place. I was right in my guess that the T fitting hooked up to the filter housing. Hopefully once I pull the oil filter I can replace the brass connection going between the filter base and T, otherwise I have a nice 1200lb paperweight. And...
The oil line is up between the IP and the oil filter housing. I would think it goes to the oil filter, but I don't see anything that's not connected to the oil filter housing.

Orren, from what I have read, disconnecting batteries while the generator is running causes damage to the electronics because the alternator can not regulate the voltage fast enough. This causes a voltage spike like you saw on the meter and cooks the electronics.
