What are your laws on Military vehicles?

Consarn it, I don't know why, but I keep thinking it's 20,001, you're right, taken from the PA DMV website, it's A Pennsylvania CDL is required if you operate any of the following CMV's . . . 1. A vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 26,000 lbs. 2. A...

    Bumper markings/Army

THere's even a FIFTH block of numbers on the hood by the grab handle, stenciled black right on the CARC, but they're too scuffed to read. Might have been part of logistics of getting the truck back to the states ( a sticker still attched to the fender had it being shipped back here from Kuwait...

    What are these tires???

Reminds me, my house is 10 feet of a major road in town here, the other day, I was just minding my own buisness when I hear this sound from outside thunk - thunk - thunk - thunk - THUNK - THUNK What the hell? Sounded like a railroad car with a flat wheel, seriously, like there was a freight...

Any video's of M35A2 whistlers out there??

Heh, I just sent him that through PM, though he's probably not awake right now to get it yet :D I need new footage of the truck now that it's fixed up

What are your laws on Military vehicles?

Our deuce is also registered as an "antique historical vehicle" a registration option when you register a vehicle with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (My home state) The pros, you only have to get it registered once, and the registration lasts the life of the vehicle No yearly inspections...

    Bumper markings/Army

Yeah, that does help, I've never seen a tuck with so much lettering on it, so it was a little confusing.

Beside GUAM, via GL, where ELSE can I find these?

Ours has one oddball fiberglass slat, and the rest are wood.

    Bumper markings/Army

Walter's Deuce has a lot of alphabet soup on it's bumpers MANG379E WTX4AA 00064 CSE 501 The "MANG" I think means "Maintenence Group" And, the 379E I think designates 379th Engineers (such a unit does exsist, in the 96th RRC , based out of Montana) I'm still trying to decipher...

    Bumper markings/Army

M107, if your truck is marked up like ours was, the 90 C-R stands for 90th Regional Readiness Command, basicaly, the army reserves, covering a region around Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, and are apparently based out of Ft. Pike near Little Rock Arkansas...

    Weigh Stations

I've seen those signs at other weigh stations too, but I still think you're exempt unless your over the weight limit or hauling commercialy, otherwise, every single pickup would have to stop too, since it says "truck" on the lisence plate. Truck in that sense is just a colloquial way of...

    trailer loadout

Well, it was all buisness and no smiles at Bragg, but then again, that's the home of the AB, not some backwater equipment dump in Appalachia :)
  14. Low-Tech-Redneck

    trailer loadout

The DRMO at Letterkenny isn't even on post, so you don't have to show them anything, just make a right at the stoplight and drive onto the lot.
  15. Low-Tech-Redneck

    Weigh Stations

I don't think you have to stop for them if you're not subject to CDL/ICC/DOT regulations, which you shouldn't be if you're not doing any commercial hauling. I'd place a quick call to the state DOT and ask them, just to be safe, but I"m almost certain you don't have to stop, I blow past them in...

    trailer loadout

As long as you have some way to get your stuff off their lot without damaging anything else, and without needing thier assisstance, I don't think GL gives a damn how you remove it. Is this for an M105? We just drove in with our deuce and left, 10 minutes tops. Now, once you get off base...

The scoop from GL on SF97's

I really hope GL reconsiders this move, and if enough folks complain or boycot, they just might, after all, how are they ever going to sell those trucks if you can't get em' titled after you buy them?
  18. Low-Tech-Redneck

    No More SF97's from GL?

GL has pretty much stated that they're no longer going to bother getting the forms for the trucks, which is a pain for getting them registered in states that require more than a bill-of-sale.
  19. Low-Tech-Redneck

    my deuce

If that doesn't work, I can host 1 or 2 for you, PM me if you need help, I wanna see the pretty trucks too!

    Priming for Gillespie

Well, went back to the shop today, couldn't find any old cans :( But I'm pretty sure that's what we used, I've heard the color can vary depending on a lot of factors and how many coats you put on.
