Show Me Your Tractors (M818 for example)

I'm not sure if there is a technical aspect to them, they do cut fog and hazy conditions better. In WWII all Allied Forces (in France) were required to use yellow lamps so as to distinguish them from white lit German forces.

    5 ton choices-confused

That's the bottom line. You buy the truck because you want to and can. Realistically if you have the need a civilian truck will do the job. And with prices falling it's possible. I'm actually looking to replace the F350 as the rv hauler in a few years with a Volvo VNL670.

    M127 stake semi trailer restoration

I agree nice job. But the tread on those tires seams a tad aggressive for a trailer...LOL

    5 ton choices-confused

Yes, my point was it adds height. Not sure if the typical 350 comes jake equipped. Far as I know the 250 in the 809 and 900 series trucks aren't jake equipped.

    5 ton choices-confused

The 250 350 and 400 share the same block characteristics. The difference is the 400 has a jake and turbo, not sure if the 350 does.

    5 ton choices-confused

Swapping the 250 for a 400 requires hood modification among some other things. Personally I want to swap a 400 into an 818 and put a 109 box on the back. Toy build, driving the 915 is nice, vs the M35. I'd prefer a manual as well but the auto works fine.

    M923a2

To bad he's in Florida...that truck is on my list.

    M923a2

A good price is whatever you are willing to pay to make you happy. If 12k is good for you that is the price, 9k whatever. The price point for me has to match the overall condition of the truck. I'm not saying those are bad prices I just don't have that kind of money. I'll bid on nearly any...

Anyone haul (2) M101A3 on an 18' car trailer before

I had 3 105's on a 36' GN before. I agree remove tarps...tons of wind resistance and they don't need potential damage.

    F-35, first catapult launch

There is one pilot that is third generation. Stationed here at Minot.

    F-35, first catapult launch

You guys scream about the F-22 and others but keep in mind the F-22 prototype was built in the mid 80's. It takes years to develop an aircraft. The AF isn't what it was years ago. They don't have the man-power to trouble shot an aircraft just to get a jet jockey some fly time. Which is why...

M915 battery relocation kit toolbox mod.

I thought you were actually relocating the batteries... Looks good. I'm planning a thin headache rack to hold chains and binders, but I don't know where the Spare will go. I've also considered relocating the batteries for a second tank but I haven't figured those out either. I'm also...

    40 Foot Container Trailers?

I could use one, but your to far away.

    M915a1

The issue with the M915 will be the light rear end and no drive axle in the front. Duals suck in the snow, so singled out is the best option no matter what truck.

    Who pulls trailers regularly?

I've done that, I much rather back. Particularly when its a short trailer, it can still be difficult to see over the hood.

    Who pulls trailers regularly?

Wich is why i regularly practice. I have a little utility trailer...that has quite a few choice names. The m871 and Fiver are my favorites. Long enough to enjoy but not so long as I get stuck.
