Another variation for your amusement: Just sat a German Comm Box on my LMTV with Ecohubs. Going to see how that drives. The box will fit lower by 6 inches when the wooden frame is removed.es.
Are you aware that the idler pulley has an oil reservoir? Open the plug in the front of the pulley and fill it full.
The fan also has a reservoir, and so does the water pump.
I just repaired a heater switch today. What Tomline said, but there is a locknut under the knobs and it helps to loosen the jam nuts first. My switch had a broken off terminal, possibly from corrosion of the ferrous terminal after heating from the voltage-dropping resistors (mounted on the...
Had this happen on an A0, 3116 engine, and it was a loose oil pressure sender where it screws into the block. The grounding to the block was intermittent.
Today sure was a nice day! Yesterday (Friday) not so much. Great talking to everyone!
Klaus, my phone lost all your contact info. Please get in touch so we can talk more about your FLU-419.

Maybe you missed the point or I failed to pass the idea that It Already Got Rained On. Not purposely left out in the rain. Rain is not a treatment! That would be dumb.
What advice would you give, other than calling the blaster back (which isn't going to happen).
So, search really works! This post by Jaws4518 really answered my question. Yesterday was a big sand blasting day here on the farm. I had a mobile media blaster come in and completely strip a 1984 Radio box off a 404 Unimog. We also blasted the roof and rust trouble spots on a second radio...
When you add a large habitat that is heavy and raises CG, wide as or wider than the Unimog, maybe decreases departure angle, you just limited where the vehicle can go. The abilities of the vehicle, and the benefits of a Unimog have been negated.
Then consider the desire to push the Mog beyond...
Guessing this is what happened: The six bolts holding the driveshaft U-Joint to the transmission output shaft/flange have worked loose and one or more have trapped the transmission output flange. The output shaft wont turn, the rear /front axle will be locked, and the output gear that you...
I have not used a gutted AS3900 with a tuner but I have used a AS1729 with a tuner to provide a better load on 10 meters. Worked ok but no doubt was lossy. CB frequency is not far off. Your AS3900 might work better? I am really curious to know too. Who could try that with a tuner...
I would guess the batteries being deadish would have loaded the alternator heavily and there could be a resistive connection along the way to the batteries. The red charge light is roughly proportional to the difference in voltage between the field excitation v and the alt output v. As...
The As-3900, if unmodified, would have presented a reasonable load to the CB transmitter but won't radiate much on CB frequencies. If "gutted", and a coax connection made to the feed point inside the base, the antenna now looks like a dipole for a much higher frequency than CB. (I am...
