1968 amg m35a2 m66 gun ring install help

I would like a blueprint / drawing to machine the M49 ring and hardware. If anyone knows where to get a set of plans, please let me know. If anyone in So Cal has one I can copy, that would be OK too. Thanks -Ken

    M Series Door Latch Repair

I had to do this job; I bought a new (probably Chinese) latch and it only lasted about 25 - 30 operations before the outside handle would not operate the latch. Took me about fifty minutes from walking outside to the truck to having all the tools put away. My assembly had no lube on the two...

M151A1 New to the fleet here in SoCal

Here's the builder's / data plate after I spruced it up: I cleaned it with white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (about 50% - 50%) and then sprayed it with flat black; gave it a slight curve, convex to the front, and then sanded it slowly with 600 grit emery cloth. Lastly I coated it with clear...

    Which Blackout Headlight and Bracket?

Hey All: I am currently collecting missing parts for my -A1 project; the blackout headlight is missing, and that's the next item on my list. Can someone post or email a couple of detail pictures of the correct one, or post which assembly if used on other trucks such as the M35A2, 5-ton...

Is this the wrong starter or Bendix?

Update: I cranked the engine over with the spark plugs removed until oil started coming out of the rocker arms; then I put the plugs back in and ran it. The Bendix reset as advertised.

Is this the wrong starter or Bendix?

Thanks! Looked on YouTube for a few minutes, couldn't find it. Went out into the garage but couldn't get it to retract but I was probably doing it wrong. HOWEVER: From TM 9-2320-218-34-1, page 6-7, "CAUTION: If pinion and barrel assembly are accidentally rotated to fully-extended locked...

Is this the wrong starter or Bendix?

M151A1: Is this the wrong starter or Bendix? Hi All: This Bendix stays engaged (makes ratcheting noise when turning the engine over by hand), does not seem stuck, and I've never seen one like it. It came out of the vehicle, not loose. Ratcheting faces: Is it the wrong one for my M151A1? If...

M151A1 New to the fleet here in SoCal

Hey All: Just got this M151 today and was wondering if anyone would like to say what's on their mind about it. I have restored a WWII Dodge WC-43 and repainted and maintain a 1968 M35A2. I will start restoring this jeep in a few months after I take care of some loose ends and sell the WC-43. I...

    NEW 1100-20 11.00-20 NDCC tires?

So...... Is $450 each plus shipping and possibly tax the best deal for new 11.00-20 tires today??? This price at Coker Tire. I have been buying 12- to 15-year-old tires with like-new tread but they are cracking deeply through the tread and the sidewalls are cracking a bit, too. I cannot afford...

M35 Rockwell Axle Cutaway Training Aid pics

I thought the center caps supported the ends of the drive shafts of the knuckle u-joints (stub shafts); no center cap would allow the stub shaft to whip around and maybe contribute to u-joint damage? I think I would need to bore out the splines on a pair of center caps (hubs) and allow the stub...
