    typically the cases are stamped with letters/symbols for the wiring. The smooth post is usually a tach. Prestolite tech support might be willing to help?

    That looks like a prestolite /leece- neville alt. It could be off civilian 24v construction equipment. Is there any other tag or numbers?

    fyi. there is an extension they made for the lunette so it would not rub the corners at extreme angels on some of the prime movers. Search on here for more info as not my threads but I recall seeing the info.

    high failure rate on this item. Many are overheated and the epoxy goo on the back is meted or melting away. as noted unplugging it allows full cooling all the time as a fail safe.
