    F.N.G from Roanoke va.

Welcome from Raleigh, NC (and from the alternate home in Syria, VA...). As mentioned, the Denton Rally in the Spring is a lot of fun as is the Graves Mountain Rally in the Fall (Labor Day Weekend) and both are easy driving from your location.

So, the list of things that folks have mentioned that I should tweak for next year: White board at the HQ tent for updates to the trail ride schedule and to remind folks of Mike's availability for range duty, etc. A notice that if Mike is sitting around the campsite, all one must do to go to...

Graves Mountain MV Trailrides and Rally, September 1-5, 2016

I chatted with Mike and Amber about this as they loaded up for the trip home... I hadn't realized that folks had an issue with the noise during the event since no-one mentioned it to me... It's a learning process. We had a record number of folks this year and I hope that everyone returns next...

Please remind me about them next year... I have the ability to shut them off, but the switch for the lights in our field also control the rest of the line including those in the horse camping field... Since we have the port a johns and trash cans located under the lights... I may not be...

Graves Mountain MV Trailrides and Rally, September 1-5, 2016

We've been doing selective logging around the property for the past five years or so... Lots and lots of nice seasoned oak, maple, and poplar, etc... up on the hillsides just waiting to be hauled down to the campsite... (logger took out the trunks, left the crowns...) I know that more than one...

Graves Mountain MV Trailrides and Rally, September 1-5, 2016

I don't think that it is normally open over Labor Day as the water is still a tad too hot for the trout to be active... Graves Mountain MV Trailrides and Rally, September 1-5, 2016

As a reminder: DO NOT drive through the field with the folks who are camping with horses. There are folks who have horses that do not do well with the whine of turbos, diesel smoke, etc (heck, some of them get skittish walking past the hog pen over by the barnyard). We will, as always...
