We have a several of locations, including a couple of loading docks. :)
Loading docks that are located at the Cannery and Packing Shed are both good locations, as are a couple bank ramps in the orchard. I also have the steel ramps that I use to load a M274-A5 in my XM813 on site...
Just a reminder that we are getting closer and closer to the event.

After August 22 or at the Gate: Cost is $50 per...
The camping field is big... As long as you don't keep anyone from being able to sleep, you can run a genset at night.
If you bring something that is loud (say, one of the MEP-016A gas units) and camp near me, you're going to have to shut it down...
If you bring something quiet (a unit...
I said yes...but I have been informed by my Range Officer that they would be inappropriate for the geometry of the range that we will be using...
So, save them for next year at Denton... :)
{That's why I have good people like Mike SCSG-G4 helping me...it keeps me out of trouble...}
Tim at the OldGrouch Surplus in Clyde, NC, sells sheets of self adhesive parachute repair material at a great price...
Stuff works great on this sort of repair (ask me how I know... ). :)

For bigger repairs, he sells the Speedy Stitcher for the...
Since he seems to have forgotten to post here..
Maddawg308 said that he'd bring five or so of the geared wrenches (lug nut) that he has listed for sale in the classifieds.
He can't make it for the entire event, but said that he'd be there Saturday, maybe Sunday as well.
Geez, I'd have to go look in the shop and in the storage trailer... ;)
Lights, bulbs, switches, rubber electrical connectors, voltage regulators, generator to regulator cables, etc...
For those of you interested in the Range...
Mike, SCSG-G4, is my Range Officer.
He will most likely be using the site that he used last year (neighboring farm at the base of the mountain next to an orchard...), and will be using the same rules as last year (with perhaps a few updates).
The...
On the M817: Replaced the rubber air line located above the starter that is in the big line between the compressor and the tanks... It blew out on Sunday while it was parked in the yard warming up... Also swapped out the Michelin 1100r20 XL for Goodyear G177 (Old tires are on rims and are...
Sale items:
Don't forget that you can bring stuff to sell/trade with no restrictions on space/location in the camping field.
BMan (Chuck) will be hanging out at the HQ tent with the t-shirts...
Speaking of sale items:
I will have five gallon plastic water jugs (tan, black ones have all been...
I know...but you gave me a great excuse to type away and list different routes and folks who are coming, etc...
Hopefully, the flurry of posts today will get a few others to open up and let us know what they are thinking... :)
If you wanted to come up anyway, I'll put you up in my cabin at the end of the road...
The good folks from Rock Ridge Offroad will be camping in the big field with the rest of the group (as will I) so the cabin will be unused...and quiet...
I never had an issue with the Sheriff or his deputies...but then, I know them all very well--socially. :)
You do have to watch out for State Troopers... Thankfully, the two that really disliked speeders and "odd" vehicles have moved to other areas of the Commonwealth...
They all know that...
In all seriousness...
If folks could arrange to convoy up (or get a buddy to fall in behind and watch for any pieces that fall off...) everyone could have a more relaxing, safer, ride up to and back from the event...
I'll post my trip times when we get closer to the event and I know when I...
Somebody really needs to find Bjorn some tires...
That truck would look great cruising around the farm in VA (at the Graves Mountain Rally), but I know that it isn't going far from home without a good set of shoes... :)
You know, North Carolina is kind of a long state (East to West)...so we'll be using multiple routes to get up to the rally... :)
BMan and Sonny will head west out of Williamston on US64 to I95 in Rocky Mount, then he'll run north towards Richmond, head over to I64 West via VA288. From I64 he'll...
UPDATE TIME
We have been up to the event site a couple times in the last month ensuring that the trails are clear and ready for vehicles. Managed to create another pair of loop trails on the mountain that can be run with five ton trucks (I am taking my M817 dump truck as my trail truck this...
LOL... I am about to start work on my M146 and feel the same way.
Shame that I can't convince everyone on the East Coast to bring their camper to the Graves Mountain Rally this fall so that I can look at them all side by side in person... ;)
One of my favorite places to look for rubber parts when I don't have an exact supplier (and sometimes when I do) is Steele Rubber Products of Denver, NC. (US made, quality stuff...)
Steele is a supplier of parts for a wide variety of vehicles, but the best thing is that their catalog shows the...
