What I meant to imply is that there is a reason for every law. What is the purpose for this particular law? Was there a situation in the past that caused it to become a law in this particular area, or did they just do a terrible job building the roads and have to be careful what rolls over them...

What's funny about these situations is that they never tell you WHY. WHY are commercial vehicles not allowed? (if they do deem it to be commercial.) I'm still a little confused about one thing.. You mention doing a previous engine swap in the truck. Was it a used engine, or rebuilt? If rebuilt, shouldn't the shop/engine rebuilding company be held responsible for the engine failure?

Is it a 250 Cummins? Most people say those are good for 4mpg. The 8.3 Cummins like mine are around 8-10mpg. And I seem to remember people saying they were getting 10mpg with the multi trucks.
