Hydrolocked because of fuel that leaked into a cylinder? I seem to remember people saying that could happen due to leaky injectors. No matter what it is (hopefully something simple) it really sucks that you have to deal with this right after getting the truck :( What did the auction listing...
I'd take one too, though my alternator is currently doing fine (knock on wood.) 74M.. Do you have any pictures of the test alternator in place? Everyone loves pics :)
I should point out that slower traffic and trucks are only allowed in the right lane, or 2 right lanes depending on the size of the road. That should theoretically make the different speed limits less of a hazard, but people disobey that too.
It's the same here in Illinois (at least the Northern part where I live.) Minimum speed on the highway/interstate is 45mph. Standard speed is 55, but there are roads around here that are as high as 65-70mph. Many of them also have signs saying that the max speed for vehicles over 4 tons is...
Either one will ruin your life AND make you happy.. sometimes in the same day aua :naner:
I'm glad I'm able to keep mine at my house. No matter how bad of a day I have at work, and no matter how late I come home, it always makes me smile when I see that big SOB parked on the driveway :)
Painted my Harbor Freight "cupholder" with green Rustoleum camo paint. Came out awesome. Doesn't really match the trucks paint, but still stands out a lot less than it did when it was red.
Also cut down 2 4x4x8 posts into 8 21" pieces. I'm hoping that will be enough wood to keep on hand in the...
Well I can't really give you any useful info regarding the issue, but I definitely agree with you about the sound of the horn.. Not very fitting for these trucks.
Ha.. Probably. It's also right next door to a custom 4x4 place.. I'm sure they might get a kick out of it. I'm considering having them install a roll cage for me.
That's interesting about the weight. Both the DMV and Progressive (insurance) asked me for the actual weight of the vehicle. Same...
Interesting.. I would have thought it was heavier. Doesn't the data plate on the cargo trucks say 24k empty? (at least I seem to remember that from when I was looking at trucks.) Makes me wonder about my tractor.. Data plate says 20,100lbs empty. I wonder if it is actually less. There's a...
Ah. Interesting. They said I would good with a Class C here in Illinois.. They considered my M931A2 to be a "flat side" truck, like a box truck. But if I ever want to tow a trailer I would have to get a Class B.
Indeed. And I'd almost be willing to bet that the people who raised the red flag have done far worse, and broken other more significant laws (speeding, blowing red lights, etc.)
