Double wheel with the crank is vastly superior and your back will thank you over and over....
Put a want ad in the classifieds and check ebay
Many trailers are civy converted to smaller axles and tires. Parts are sometimes very reasonable for the m103,m105,m107,m149 and others use the same...
Meguiar's makes a product for this:

What makes this frustrating in my mind as I had been in the parts business 20 years is that Moog makes the stuff but it is proprietary to AMG.
I can't recall this type of arrangement from Moog anytime in the past to for chassis/suspension parts.
The pintle extension is only used for the shelter carriers and I have seen them on a local unit towing howitzers.
It can be used with it or without the reinforcement plate
Also can be used with the tire carrier and all 3 pieces. Never designed this way but doable.
You would have to fab up the...
That is common duct hose. Measure the Id which should be the same both ends and length.
Napa will have it in gates and other hd parts stores should have it. Oreilly can probably order in.
Seen some pics with the older metal carriers on rear fenders probably unit mods.
The slantbacks and armament carriers have inside bed plastic mounts with the fuel ones having a drain tube.
Just saw a set on a m1097 I previewed
Inside painted sea foam green. Truck also had a tailgate painted interior sea foam green.
This set did not have the placards.
IMHO, the condition of the truck being recapitalized dictated how much was done to it and the budget allocated to the facility doing the work. As I stated earlier in this thread, I previewed 100 + of these and nothing was cookie cutter the same with all of them. The most consistent thing I...
that is expressed in the ratings.
the higher the number, the harder the rubber and lasts longer hence more mileage.
Tires are rated for example 500/A/A
The letter grades are temperature and traction.
I recently previewed over 100 m1097's from Red River and it is a truly a salad bowl of what you will get I saw R1, A2 etc. Most appear to have been turned in and just sat. Not heavily cannibalized like USMC units. Most even had almost complete sets of BII. Will be interesting if all the goodies...
If you can find STA super lugs reasonable; they are better than the ndts.
I have a trailer with some deep cracks but don't sweat it as they are 16 ply and tough as nails. Look nasty but run cool. Just made a 400 mile trip monday on my 60's m116 variant.
I do carry a spare with a new tube and...
I would check with state farm. La is different than the other 49 states with our laws.
State farm does both my m923 & m998 as classic.
What year is yours? Daily driver?
Where are you?
I have some stuff for sale.....
I don't think the majority of us need to be concerned with load ratings as D is plenty adequate. We do not have the weight of armour and loaded to the gills with gear & occupants to contend with. If you have a shelter, ambo, or maint body, then yes that can be a reason to stick with E.
Another...
YMMV, I would use an older BFG Baja with confidence over any flavor of goodyears.
The vast majority of auction trucks with flat tires or blow outs are goodyears. I just previewed over 100 m1097's of all flavors yesterday in Mobile ( all trucked in from Red River BTW ) and did not see one flat...
