No pics for this repair, my hands were too dirty for most of it to want to touch my phone.
So my right rear caliper was sticking when the parking brake was applied. Also the bracket that hold the caliper and mounts to the diff had loose bolts (this makes the third caliper bracket on this truck...
if the max you can do is 49mph then either you're stuck in limp mode (2nd gear) or you have a power output issue.
Does it feel like it's shifting gears at all?
Not sure the actual weight, but it's also very awkward to handle. There should be a lifting eye in the top of it. Highly recommended you use some type of lifting device to remove it, and not try to just manhandle it.
It's not the question, it's how your attitude is coming across.
It was a very simple question, "Are the batteries hooked up properly"
You responded that you assume so.
As pointed out, you assume it's good, so that must not be the issue.
For those that have been on this site for years now...
Post number 9 in the below thread shows a picture of how I've jump started my truck from dual 12V battery packs in the past, as well as instructions.

I haven't looked to see what box I actually have in mine.
The wait light flashes for me every time no matter what. With batteries fully charged it's about 13 or 14 flashes.
When batteries are low it's about 17 flashes.
I have only replaced a couple of the glow plugs; enough that it would start...
Box is 24V only, so can only view the batteries as a single component; not two individual ones.
My truck will still operate the glow plugs and attempt to crank, even if the voltage is a little low. Below about 23V my truck won't start as it can't overcome compression, but still tries...
I bought the Feltz Tire 2018+ 100% tread bajas and so far they are running perfectly.
One was 9.5oz out of balance, and all the others were less than that, and all took at least 6 oz of weight to balance them out.
Also running centramatics, 24 bolt staggered rims, and run flats.
Part of the...
If you can't find any real load banks, some of the military ECUs can often be found for relatively cheap.
I know the 3 ton NordicAir ECU pulls right about 10kw on heat mode. If you go in and disable one heat coil on each phase it's around 6kw, so 2 of those would be about perfect (this is just...
Batteries are to act like a buffer for changes in power being used. Inverter on top of mechanical governed engine can't really respond fast enough to changes in the amount of load.
As long as the batteries are capable of handling the charge/discharge, then you'd probably be fine. Bigger is...
most likely it was a radio power cable.
Without the end on it or a closer look to see what the cables inside look like it's probably 95% or better chance it was for radios.
EDIT: As OBX said, it's likely still connected to power at the batteries, so disconnecting the batteries and removing the...
I'm guessing you say it's the compressor because you only hear the squeal when the aircon is engaged at those speeds, but how do you know it's actually the compressor and not something else in the belts system making noise due to the increased belt load?
Belt squeal or bearing squeal or some...
I have no more faith in optimas these days than I do in the el cheapo wally world specials.
A friend installed one into her Toyota.
At 7 months it was no longer able to start her truck.
Flat top group 24 batteries work with the hold down, no spacers required.
These are 24AGMs from NorthStar, sold through BatteriesPlus.
A bit more expensive than wally world specials, but 48 month full replacement warranty, and being AGM they're just much better to begin with...
I lose track sometimes with all the posts on here, so I was thinking about the plywood in the back of a truck for a snowmobile to sit on when I made my post.
boiled linseed oil has been used for generations to treat wood, so other than the cost there really isn't any reason why you can't use it...
My uncle uses boiled linseed oil thinned down with diesel and a pump sprayer to coat his trailer decking.
Can't honestly say how it actually holds up as I don't visit that often.
One thing to be aware of is some plywood uses water soluble glue, and it starts delaminating if soaked in water for...
They are both variable rate springs, so I don't think you'll find a compression rate for them.
for the -2413 springs, Parttarget has all the info you are asking other than the rate
4.5" inside diameter
15.45" length
1.26" wire diameter...
one thing you might try is using a flashlight at night (or other light source) underneath the dash and look at the outside to see if any light is coming through.
