Pawn Stars look at a HMMWV

Got to tell ya that cracks me up. BTW, we all don't speak like that down yonder...... Always wondered why they don't do that for example with Northern Law Maine or New Hampshire :) Now, that is some thick accents ;-)

What am I getting into with an auction truck?!

I have seen a local painted black air national guard recruiter eye candy for shows & exhibits etc.. Very few are painted black and the one I saw was rather sloppy.

    REV truck?

Verify 1st, I understand early models were coolant.

    Two silly oil change questions...

It is normal for diesels to get black quickly. Even new oil will darken much faster than maybe what you are used to in a gas engine. Many diesel oils start off darker anyway because of the additive package. I believe you probably had residue still left as impossible to drain fully. I would not...

    DWF exhaust pipe question

That simple support is stupid crazy priced and hard to find so that is a big plus. I have no personal experience but have seen others post about shortening the lower pipe and rewelding it.

    DWF exhaust pipe question

$425 for a complete kit is very very reasonable... Shipping of $100 is also very reasonable. I have sold pipes only and paid more than that to ship due to oversize and dimensional weight.

    DWF exhaust pipe question

What pipe do you have? There is an up armored exhaust pipe that sits further away from the body? Did your truck have the USMC mak bolt on ? I suspect you have a truck with armour removed but with armour exhaust pipe. Besides the mentioned washers and grommets there is an inner brace/mount as...

    Tie Rod End Recommendations?

Interesting information. I had not seen any retail chassis/multi purpose tubes of grease that were silicone. I always like using a red, blue, or green modern products. I tend to stay away from the old school tan/brown peanut butter lithium greases. Who sells Nye products retail?

    Tie Rod End Recommendations?

It appears Moog is OE equipment but does not release the proprietary parts to the aftermarket and has to be sourced through AMG or one of its distributiors or surplus.

    M936A2 Crane Removal

I was fortunate to have friendly contacts with multiple scrappers out of Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg when all the M939 trucks were flooding out. Primarily Wreckers and tractors. Some Cargos but it seemed all the cargos were in Kansas. One particular scrapper in Purvis was scrapping all the...

    M936A2 Crane Removal

Not that I have done it myself, but saw many being scrapped. It seems like pulling the bed and crane as a unit is what I have seen done. Not sure how that influences the rear winch you re trying to repurpose.

    AC condenser relocation

Is that the original red dot mount inside? Can you share part number?

    HMMWV Texas Title Info

You just need to find a plain m1152a1 or m1152 data plate. Yours is not original with screws. Changed probably when uparmored/upgraded.

    HMMWV - Brake question

Sounds like you need to penetrate oil the handle. All of them turn to adjust.

White sealant on brake cans-how to break free

Is that white sealant for threaded fittings or silicone gooped to watertite? If just pipe sealant tape or putty, It should just unscrew with no force as it is not a thread lock product but just a thread sealer.

    Can anyone tell me

and 5-6 years ago no one would even want to buy anything hmmwv unless it could be re-purposed......

    Rubber blade wipers

NOS and surplus will be dried out and brittle rubber typically. How long are they? That is a common HD item available at Napa or O'reilly. Oreilly is trico and painted black btw, Trico 61-110 is 11 inch. Let me know measurement if not 11 and I will get you the right part number. I Just...

    Can anyone tell me

Speakers are out there and I am not aware of a civy use or conversion. I would be interested in the 2 blue dust caps and the mounts with long bolts for the speakers. The trays set with feet would probably fetch $75+ and should be easy to sell here on the classifieds as in most trucks they are...
