No problem Ruppster. We are all here to share and learn. We have been running the Edelbrock manifolds on M75's on several V-100's for over 7 years with no problems. we were told the coolant lines were run through the manifold for cold weather running, so we blocked it at the water pump. No...
Rumpster, ALL my comments were in regards to the M75 as used in the V-100 with the particular 350 Holley/ vacuum govenor setup that you are not familiar with. I wasn't addressing any truck applications at all.
JimK is correct on his engine details.
The Stock Holley 4-barrel is only a 350 cfm and never worked very well. An Edelbrock 1405 Performer 650 cfm and Edelbrock, or even stock Mopar manifold, work miracles on the M75 engine. Easily 20hp+ gain and smoothness out the whazoo... The Only way to go...
In regards to the biggest gun on any gun truck, you have to think through the application: counter ambush against forces with only light cover and spread out. For light brush, you need saturation fire. In Iraq, where you have thick concrete walls and buildings, precise direct fire with a punch...
Rephrase: Nothing on an M1117 is the same as a V-100 except the general appearance/layout. A complete list of differences would mirror a complete vehicle parts list.
The M1117 ASV is not a new production vehicle. They have been building them for over 10 years. It is twice the weight of a V-100 with heavier axles, wheels, and armor. A V-100 grandson more than anything, sharing basic layout and mission. Originally built for Bosnia/Kosovo, they now serve in...

Hey t_lashley,
You CAN'T have one because it can't be imported back into the U.S. even though your Grand Poobah Arnold was able to bring in the U.S. M-47 he drove while in the Austrian Army.... Really fair, huh? I'm bet he owns a .50, too.

You would not be cramped. Plenty of leg room. The rear of the whole vehicle could be bobbed. Just have to fashion a smaller fuel tank. Nothing can be done about the front except some kind of lift but that would be complicated due to the CV axles. Larger diameter tires helps. We did that with...
I owned a German Iltis for 8 years. Great little Jeep type vehicle. It was neat because it could cruise at 65mph+, was comfortable around town and was different. Everybody wanted to know what it was. Like owning a Pinzgauer. It was pretty easy to work on, and reliable. Approach and decent...
