Re: RE: Gl suprise bonus
At two of the sites that I frequent where they unload with the forklift, they don't have a ramp for unloading and frequently the trucks don't run... Using the fork is much more efficient...
That said, I've watched the guys operating the forklifts and, in general...
Both the NP88950 (M37) and the NP420 (M37B1) are only synchronized in 3rd and 4th. You have to double clutch when going into the lower gears, but most folks usually start off in second when driving around so so shifting is pretty easy...
They only have one clutch...
Partially synchro'd and...
I've thought about this a lot, but didn't like the routing that a hose (or pipe) would take... If tucked up high enough to not get snagged when going over obstacles (I know, it's up there, but I'd hate to high center my M817 and honk my fuel line) you'd not be able to utilize all the fuel in...
If you want a really nice heavy duty wiper that can handle snow, you might want to consider some units similar to what I mounted on my Cummins powered M37... Granted the M37 is a 3/4 ton, but it uses the same inner window frame... Page on my website details instalation and has parts numbers...
RE: I found some tires
Post a wanted add here for a spare. Also post one on the www.g741.org site (the M37 specific site) and the www.503.com site in the Power Wagon forum and in the 3/4 ton trailer forum, and one of the www.dodgepowerwagon.com forum and one on the...
Chicklin, since you say you've already purchased one, I won't mention how usefull we find the dropside truck to be when it comes to loading the square haybales (why did they wait to get the roundbailer until after I moved off the farm??) or when loading orchard boxes. :)
A set of chains are a...
Hmm, thing on the passenger side looks more like the vent line from the airpack... There is a MWO to have the line disconnected from the air intake with a vent cap attached to the fitting on the end of the line so that would not be a chance of cross contamination.
Of course, my eyes are...
On the familly farm in VA, we use: A pair of M35A2's for general hauling (moving irrigation pipe, hauling orchard boxes, round bales, etc), a M35A2 with a 1025 gallon tank and pumping system for drafting water out of the river for use in the orchard sprayers and the hydrocooler at the packing...
Spotted this on the www.ncmvpa.com website and thought that I would cross post it here in case some of the North Carolina crowd wasn't checking that site...
It's close enough for me to go to, and folks who fly seem to like old MV's (and vice versa)
"The Wilson 1047 Chapter of EAA is hosting a...
RE: tire
Take a gander at my website to see what folks have been installing on M37's... Same rim...

You need to find a tire shop that deals with heavy trucks or agricultural equipment... Not one that deals exclusively with cars, light trucks, and...
I've bypassed the fuel line on the suction side (supply) using a six inch long pipe nipple and left the return flowing back through the selector switch for the ride home on a "new" truck. That way, you know that you are not sucking air into the system and you save yourself some wrenching...
Frank has got it right... That's one of the reasons GL gives for having you send in the SF97 application for them to verify instead of them just giving you one... It gives you a chance to ensure that the SF97 has the correct manufacturer on it.
The LEO who will be looking at your rig will look...
RE: Re: VA DMV now rejecting GL
I'd call Richmond and ask them how they expect you to title a vehicle that you purchased from GL (the Federal Gov't's Contractor) given that the they are providing you with a SF97 and a dealer reasignment... Ask them why the paperwork/procedure that used to...
RE: Re: RE: brake lites
Remember that a little dialectric grease on the contacts (nuts, washers, etc) helps keep your ground points from getting corroded... Also a good idea to smear some on the bulb contacts as the interenal parts of the lights tend to get funky and it will help not only with...
Do you have the adapter kit that allows you to connect test equipment while the components are still mouted in the truck? If you do, then it's a relatively simple matter to hook up your voltmter, etc., and to test them. If not, it gets a bit interesting... The actual test procedures ares in...
The manufacturer and the date can be determined from the contract number that should be on the plate along with the serial number. Purchase a truck and then post the numbers here and somebody will tell you who and when...
Good luck.
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: No more $50.00 starting bids for Dem
Actually, the sad thing is that I don't think that they really saved a lot of money... The stuff all got removed by hand (by six soldiers), cataloged (by two other soldiers), seperated into different shred bins (depending on...
It appears to be a M101A1. You can tell the difference between a M101 and M101A1 from the brake handles (unless, of course, somebody has doone some swapping of assemblies...). You've also got the bent bar welded on the a-frame for the intervehecular cable plug to rest in when it is not in...
