My M998 Arrived Today (could questions)

I am not sure. I have one but do not have the 2 cables in your set up for power and radio connector so I am not sure how it works. That speaker is for newer applications and harris radio set ups not usually seen on the sincgars set ups. It could work through the vic 3 intercom with Augi's...

    Juan's M998 HMMWV

speedy stitcher I had my hmmwv at a cub scout event Fri and one of the window zippers for the soft door let go. ( My son had partially fixed a 6 inch gap before so the thread was known rotten). My son had sewn the repair last time but he is in Idaho presently so My turn to use the speedy...

    5 ton front shocks

Monroe 65116 are light years ahead of the OE shocks. Oe shocks are oil filled and that is part of the reason they are wider. They do not rebound and are obsolete old school technology. Buying nos oe shocks is throwing money away. Old school shocks will eventually bust a seal and leak oil, it is...

    Jerry Can Mount

Only bumper mount can carriers that will work with the amg far right offset tire carrier or I think the original "winch" type carrier that is also offset to the right. The rhino center tire carrier does not leave enough room. I tried..... Amtak posted some pictures of his set up where he...

    Jerry Can Mount

They have a hard plastic tray they sit on and usually right next to the inside bed sides with a strap. The tray has a pipe to drain them in case of overflow going through the floor pan and a rubber hose connects to them from underneath. I have not mounted mine yet but there are pictures in the...

    Issues with SF-97

Yes, The Montana title or SF97 is stamped off road only for all hmmwv except the USMC later models which command a premium price but come with a "clean" title with no restrictions. You have to sign an agreement that you also understand this and will not drive on road at the time of purchase...

    Deep water fording installation?

Got the oil dip stick and tube in today. Soaking the bolt probably helped immensely as I did not have to battle it too bad. Thanks for the tip! I used a 8mm allen socket bit. I tapped the socket with a hammer to fully seat it all the way and it cooperated. Now off to the t-dipstick tomorrow...

M1078 Harmonic Balancer and Fan Clutch

Suprman in Ct is the to go to guy for FMTV/Lmtv parts. Send him a pm. I would recommend reposting in the correct forum. There is just no way I see a 6.2L gm and cat 3116 using the same balancer. Just the weight of the engines and crank is vastly different requiring different specs in my simple...

    Deep water fording installation?

The hydro boost I suspect gets pressure from the power steering as it is pressurized. I don't think the cdr hose is made of the right material. It feels like a water hose. In my parts selling days, hose for oil applications is multi layered and fiber reinforced. The rubber is usually thicker...

    Radio for FMTV

Mt 6352 is a base for a sincgars radio. It can take a single radio or a different adapter slides into it for a doublestack radio with an amp. There are a few models of sincgars. They are pricey and hard to find. The ls-671 speaker is typically also used with them. I am not a ham so my knowledge...

    Deep water fording installation?

Yes, I call it the top "crown" because that nipple was on a small raised extension at the top facing the A pillar and sensor cup. All I have left is the dipsticks but the rain caught me.... Occupational hazard here in the moist Banana Republic :-)
