Moved the deuce this weekend so i can work on her axle seals. It was a fun ride to say the least! my neighbor had a look of terror on his face as I drove by, a deuce isn't something that has ever been in my neighborhood UNTIL NOW!! I wish she was registered so I could go out and drive around in...
thanks for the insight RedbeardTheZombieHunter i have looked into it a little and found there to be hazards with the electronic switches. In fact the fellow SS member i bought the truck from told me about the down falls of the switch. I have been looking into buying the old school style lever...
hey everybody,
earlier this week i found out the middle axle on my old girl is leak oil on both sides. It smells like 90w which is good news based on other threads on how bad it can be if brake fluid is leaking. my question where is a good place to buy axle seals? I haven't had very much luck...
I'm in Wallingford just up route 77 from you. Im sure you'll see me next summer because I plan on tkaing her camping to Hammonasset and driving up and down the coast.
Ok this is where i get a little confused.... you say M35A2C? She does have the C-type whisler turbo but doesn't the C in M35A2C stand for the engine type? Im not sure on the engine type but if someone could clear up my confusion that would be great.
Yes thats a push button selector switch and frankly i dont like it... its probably the only thing i don't like on the truck. I want an old switch with the levers. A rubber push buttton doesn't have the same affect to me as flipping a lever.... its like the mad scientist affect!
Well gentleman, and ladies, last Saturday all my waiting, reading, learning and saving finally paid off! I picked up my first M35A2 and she is everything I had hoped for! Ever since I was a kid I can remember seeing these things at air shows or in movies and I always wanted to own one. Now...
Hey guys,
I have been doing some searching but haven't really found anything to answer this question. Can a deuce run on old hydraulic fluid? im not sure if the fluid has the BTU rating that home heating fuel or engine oil has but I would assume it'd work just fine in the motor. Anybody ever...
Let me be the first to say welcome Navo!
As a fellow new comer to the MV addiction I can sympathize with the youtube searches and trucks on the mind 24/7. Personally, I'm looking for the A2 for the amazing sounds of the whistler turbo and the manual transmission to bang through gears. I'm...
Good Morning All,
Let me start off by asking who else had a great weekend with a MV??? This past Saturday a member of SS (btcoutermash) was kind enough to invite me to his home and teach about some of the ins and outs of the M35A2's he had. He taught me about the engine, the different models...
Thanks a lot to all who replied. Unfortunately like with most everything kool or fun it seems the consequences and maintenance of the act out weighs the fun. Once i find my deuce Im going to avoid deep water unless an emergency calls for it.
Yes Im a "newbee" and trying to gain a good footing on MV's before I purchase I own. I appreciate the warm welcome as opposed to other introductory conversations I've had on other sites.
