Hey everybody,
I was just offered a headlight from a M715 and was thinking it may be a good spare headlight for my deuce. But, would a 715 headlight fit/work in a deuce? I'm not sure if 715's are 24V or not.
thanks
here's my girl ("EV") and my pulling tractor. EV will be painted up to look as though she were an Experimental Vehicle (hence the EV), just a little personal touch I want to give her.
Ive gotten that question a few times and my answer each time is "what am I NOT going to do with it?"
its kinda neat having something very very different on the road.... im not one to conform I like to do my own thing and make my own statements! :D
This past saturday I waited in line with all the other people who had to waste their time at the DMV but my deuce got her temp plates so she can go for VIN verification and registration on Friday. Needless to say I couldn't get home fast enough and put the plate on and between 2 pm Saturday and...
Jayco36REQS, you mentioned you've done some tractor pulling with blowers and/or turbos. I just wanted to jump in share my little Turbo Farmall H project. Built myself a bilt on kit and she boosts 15-20 psi frequently!
So I have been doing small changes to my deuce to make her a little more personalized. The exhaust stack with the turn out at the top... no more! shes cut flat with rain cap on the top! The other thing i tried to change was the head light switch. The truck is an 86 and had the new push button...
when i took it apart only one side had the cork... but to answer the question i put a bead of RTV in the key way. That step was I was sure not to forget! haha
the bearings got repacked with new grease and then some more haha but my OCD is kickin in thinking thats not enough.... i did add extra grease to the hub but like you said 197thhhc its not gunna do much. I just want to make sure im not missing a huge piece of the puzzle and have to break down...
Hey guys i did my rear axle seals on the center axle today. I took out the old seals and they were full of lube from the pumpkin leaking down the axle and into the hubs. So i cleaned everything up and replaced the seals with new ones, repacked the bearings and reinstalled the hub. Now my...
Does this double air pack design help with the problems the single circuit system had? I have read here that with the single circuit system a leak in the brake line could lead to a lose of all brakes completely. Now I am not sure if that is 100% true but being that the truck is 13,000#'s I'd...
Hey guys I was wondering about braking systems on the deuce. I have been searching the site to find what I'm looking for but no luck so far. My question is are there different braking systems on the M35? Or did they stick to one style for the life of the trucks?
I ask because I was told that...
hey guys i was scoping out ebay for a new head light switch (lever type) to replace my newer style push button switch and figured I'd ask here before I made a purchase there. Does anyone have a lever type headlight switch they'd be willing to part with? I looked on the parts for sale threads and...
the lowest gas price i can remember is $1.75 here.
As for diesel, is it more widely and consistently used compared to gas? That could be one reason for the spike. There isn't much else for a reason.... diesel is less refined than gas so in theory less refining = less money spent = cheaper for...
4.50-4.60 a gall???? that is ridiculous... Somebody somewhere is raking in the cash and we all just continue to suffer. That is a sore subject so Ill leave it at that. But i agree with you the price will not keep me from having fun!
Owen, two things... 1) LOVE THE FLAT TOP STACK AND RAIN CAP!! I plan on doing the same to my deuce and 2) what tires do you currently have on? i currently have all old school military treads like your spare but i want to go for the super single look with an aggressive tread. Looks good as a...
DIPSTICK i truly envy you in that you are able to take your deuce down the road. I have yet to get mine registered. As for the whistler, I couldn't have said it better myself! That sound is just awesome and nothing else really even comes close to a match. I hope to get her on the road soon I...
