I'd be interested in hearing more about your WMO project when you get it going. My son recently tried making black diesel to run in some of my equipment as well as our 002 and 003 and the steam genny too. It worked ok, but he was kind of guessing at the proportions which were off a little...
FYI, there is a minimum number of post required on your account before you can send a PM without the help of a moderator. Since you're new you're not able to send PM's directly on our own yet.... all in due time!
For the frequency transducer you can either remove it and use a direct line read frequency meter, or there were TRC frequency transducers selling on ebay for <$20 that will work and just need a couple new mounting holes drilled in the control cube. There are definitely other posts here where...
These are the ones I buy to rebuild the 002/003 injectors. Work perfect every time!
It's often not even worth trying to disassemble and clean them If the injectors were overheated due to leaking the nozzles will most likely be stuck open and will be cheaper to replace than to try to clean and...
I'm not 100% sure, but IIRC, I don't think you can see directly into the cylinder bore very well from the injector hole.
The heads are a pre-chamber design where the injector and glow plug go into a small pocket connected to the cylinder, not into a wide open cylinder bore per-se. I think...
If you really want to get fancy, take a small throttle body off a 4cyl. fuel injected car, incorporate it into you air intake / filter tube and set it up with a 24V actuator powered off the fuel solenoid circuit.
When power to the FSS is cut, so is power to the throttle body, allowing it to snap...
I think my first check point would be to see if the primary fuel pump on the left side of the radiator is working. And by working I mean pumping fuel, not just making noise. If you had it in prime / run for a little while and the filter bowl was not full I'd be willing to bet the pump isn't...
Check your oil too, just to see if the crankcase is full of fuel. There's nothing at the level of the block on the metering pumps that can leak fuel. if the pumps are dry up above the fuel inlet line it has to be coming from the inlet tubes or hoses, there's nothing below that which would leak...
The bigger problem I've seen with the LSD is not so much increased wear on IP and injector components, its more the fuel's lower tolerance of long storage times / lesser shelf life / increased susceptibility to gumming up in tight tolerance spaces.
I've seen pumps that have gummed up the plunger...
Hey @Chainbreaker. You are correct about the home made injector adapter. I have one that goes in place of the injector.
If you have access to a lathe and want to make one I can send you the measurements.
Or I can mail you mine and you're welcome to use it and just send it back when done.
A...
So either yard art or scrap weight at this point...
Try searching the internet and Ebay "sold" items to see if there was ever any demand for parts, body panels, anything salvageable that could bring in more than scrap prices?
You're lucky you get paid a little... My family and I volunteer at a...
