This one is a Diamond T and last night we put fuel tanks and reels in it that we've had since the 1990s new refurbished and never used. Sorry for the pic quality I had to nab a picture of it going across the tracks the parking is a bit short lol
The fella I got it from did a paint job 10+ years ago. Over tri color camo. Appears to have been in service till at least 89 by the applied tag assuming seat belt provision
This is our 3rd 6602 2 of them holleys and 1 zenith. So far we've been lucky keeping them going with eBay parts finds. They're beasts and definitely love gasoline. But they start nearly every time no matter how cold lol
Do you guys think they will consider moving Findlay show back a few weeks so I can get this finished 😂. Welding all day today, hopefully pressure washer Tuesday to get degreaser on, then into inflatable paint booth for primer and paint next weekend if weather cooperates
Great barn find, hadn't ran in at least 10 years. Jerry can fuel supply, new batteries and coil-points it roared to life and drove into the trailer. Had a friend lowboy trailer it home the 125 miles.
I'm not sure on pick up I can call them tomorrow and see for sure. It would definitely fit in bed of a pickup 2 of them fit perfectly on a pallet and I only need 1. Shipping on it is as much as the tank and I figured I'd find someone making a trip sometime
Been busy with sheet metal work today, brake work yesterday, repacking bearings and changing oils last week. I'm mad rush to get ready for Findlay Ohio show next month
Today's project using the 816 candidate, the shop mascot (bobcat) had a breakdown so he got a ride down the street to the other shop. And a photo op while Joely and I were out among our other projects
I've got a 1970 816 great trucks , decent drains on the bottom of the tank depending on how old the fuel and if there's a ton of water in it. Pretty hardy set up
This 1970 XM816 was brought to life a couple years ago after sitting for 6-8 years in the weeds. It was originally od green, tri color camo applied, and lastly desert sand color. Got running, cleaned, painted, used it around our area including dragging home our newest project M-51 dump truck 70+...
