No alignment collar of any kind they are 1.5" outside I've had a couple off of the 105 when we went to Kentucky to get the gen set on the 200 so we had some spare tires for the trip but completely forget if they're all standard right hand threads and the pics I took today were both the same side
Working on the M116 pioneer trailer frame today and waiting for paint to dry we tore into the front of the M56-B1 to check out how much rust has eaten the fenders. Found the US ARMY on the hood but no numbers yet
Pretty decent looking truck, hopefully you guys can get it going and stopping on its own soon. And glad you found a towing company that knew and understood the task at hand and probably even brought back some memories and spark for those operators

My friend you stole that truck, I'm currently working on one and would like to trade information. As guy stated the manual is available I just got mine last week from portrayal press was only $20 photocopies aren't awesome but rest of manual are.
I realize that there aren't very many of these trucks around however I have located an old FWD snowblower that has one of these hall Scott engines in the rear of it driving the snow blower section. Is there any market for these? Hoping to keep it out of the scrap yard
Lever beside the seat pulled forward, transfer case in neutral, gear shifter in 4th gear all this after bed lever engaged is how I run our m-62 and m-816. I don't use the air clutch in the rear very often
