I'm planning to get up to Montana/Idaho later this summer to see Ben and Merle. Our southern border is wide open to anyone who wants in, but I think our northern border is still locked down. Not sure how we go about getting things across yet. I'll bring a passport incase things open up when I...
I have halted on all truck work until warmer weather returns.
Christmas came early this year though. 1944MB and m1010plowboy worked together to find and deliver the parts I needed. A big "Thank You!" to both of you.
I have a new master cylinder part number that I have not added to the parts list yet. It is O'Reilly number NMC11251 and is very reasonably priced. It appears to have the same specs as the Napa number we have on the list. If you decide to get it, you might take that extension with you and make...
With your brakes locking up like that, you need to check your master cylinder spring. If it has this check valve on it, you have a problem. The check valve is in the Airpak and should not be in the master cylinder.
Welcome to the forum. That's great you got the truck up and running! Definitely looking forward to seeing pictures and YouTube videos of the truck running and driving.
Vintage Wiring of Maine can build new wire harness for these trucks. I will probably be ordering from them soon as well...
I did get new batteries a couple weeks ago and started the truck last weekend after almost 2 years of it sitting there. It started right up and ran great. I expected a little bit of a fight after sitting so long but there was none.
The M923 windshield seals work great. Get them into place and...
I got the decals in from Delta Team Decals and finished my instrument cluster. I am very happy with it. If any of you need the Low/High Range decals or stencils, ask Dave for the M135 Dash Markings.
I got the pieces broke loose with a little help holding it. They've been together a while.
I think they will clean up fine if you have a way to bead blast it or can wire wheel it inside and out. Let me know if you want to mess with this..
Body parts aren't really easy to find by themselves. A lot of us end up getting other trucks to use as a parts source. I don't think the XM211 is any more desirable or rare.
If you are wanting to get into this series of truck, that one sounds very rough and may only be good for parts. If you...
I emailed the dash marking pictures from Plowboy to Dave at Delta Team Decals last night. First thing this morning he had this ready and I have ordered a set.
I'll post pictures of them when they arrive. He is calling them the M135 Dash Marking if any of you want to order a set.
We are finally seeing some things come together. I dropped the ball on getting The Low/High Range decal for around the speedometer, but will get back on that.
The rear window got a new gasket cut and is installed. The upper drip edge will be installed later.
The fall camo is ready on my...
