You can download a copy of TM 9-8025-2 here. It should show you everything in the transmission.

After speaking with 1944mb this morning, I have decided to use rubber welting. He lives in a much more dry climate than I do and said he has some rust issues with the canvas welting on some of his vehicles. If he is having issues with the welting holding water, I'm going to have a much worse...
I'm still hunting down parts to finish my truck and need help finding this. It is 1/4 inch solid bead, 1-1/2 wide, approximately .080 thick and appears to be made of military canvas. It goes between the panels of the hardtop to seal out moisture and keep the metal from rubbing together.

Yes please show us what tools to look for. I know of at least 3 of us wanting to learn how to rebuild a transmission for these trucks. Mostly out of necessity.
The shift into high didn't work for me either so a rebuild is in my future. You can see my attempt in the first video in my signature. If you watch it, could you tell me if your truck did the same as mine?
Do you have any more detailed pictures of your K&N upgrade? I really like that.

Can you expound on this a bit? Maybe in another thread so we can keep it in one location. I am always trying to plan ahead on these trucks for when some parts are no longer available. Distributor parts and the military spark plugs are a concern to me since Autolite quit making the military plugs.
I think you either have a problem inside your airpak, a restricted brake hose or there is a check valve in your master cylinder for those brakes to be hanging up like that.
