Lots of people live in climates with temps far below 60 degrees. While you're technically and rightfully correct, if a guy were to take that course it removes the margins for error and I've never enjoyed operating my equipment at the maximum of its service rating. I'd rather use the lower 90-95%...
My brother took this route as well with an 8K Allmand. He got a generator with a built-in load bank and his wife got lights for their dog arena...all for a fraction of an MEP unit plus parts are commercially available.
We had a similar discussion as your post. Check out the attached pic...8k @...
CUCVRUS nailed it again! Accurate on all accounts. Follow that and you can't go wrong.
In my youth I had a driver door with many more miles than I did. If a guy went to the trouble to remove both pins and therefore the door, I was able to source replacement spring bars since a lack of...
IIRC the turn signal hyperflash dilemma can be solved by installing a solid state LED compatible flasher, then you should be able to go LED-happy without having to install the load balancer resistor gizmo. Been a while. YMMV
The only body LED contraindication I've ever known was there's a...
AFAIR the K30 was the rare-er kid in the game back then...production numbers for the 10/20 were far higher. On the civvy side the difference really only became by GVW or options as equipped.

All factory GM bulbs C or K 10/20/30 are interchangeable shy some rare occurrence that I'm not aware of. Headlights is headlights...order them to your heart's content!
I really like Sylvania Zevo LEDs for all exterior applications. For the dash (interior lights) I like to use the search...
Yup, def gonna need more pics!! I know where 2 of those boxes are...never thought of making a power center out of one, nicely done!

Try the SS classifieds. There's a "for sale" section to search, and a "parts wanted" section you can post in so the mods won't yell at you.
AFAIK the 1009 OE wheel is the same as the OE "steelie" from any GM K10/15 truck or SUV from way long ago until...
@Denvercaitland thanks to @Chainbreaker for listing that post/thread, you can see in this pic is what a refer tank looks like for future reference.
The filler neck for a refer tank is on the outer top edge as the tanks are mounted under the trailer where it's very difficult for a regular...
1. Bitchin build!
2. Kudos for taking the time to put a polish on it.
3. Not a refer tank, the cap is in the wrong location. You have a 75 gal saddle tank from what looks like a newer Freightshaker or Volvo/Mack...can't tell from this angle.

With no data plate...
Still have the original axle? 6-lug is the 101 or A1...8-lug straight axle is the A2...8-lug high-clearance is the A3.
How much is left of the original tongue? IIRC the surge brakes came on the A2/A3. If there's still brake lines anywhere on the frame...A2 or A3 (I think)...
Hang on...what's the UOC? Does the OP have a 101? A2? A3? Gotta make sure the UOC is applicable to the stuff you listed or it could all be for not.

Instead of Googling for the p/n, download the TM from this site and it will have the correct p/n and NSN to put into Google. Sourcing parts for unique items can be challenging...there's a couple surplus parts companies, eBay has a lot sometimes, and the members here have some of the most random...
The cap is supposed to leak a little. That's the venting feature for temp fluctuations and such to keep from getting overpressurized.

So there's some great things about using these tanks! The round peg on a flat board is easy...go to a big truck shop (like Fleetpride) and get the tank mount strap brackets. They can be mounted to any flat surface. Make sure you orient the tank in the straps for the pick-up to be at the lowest...
Most reasonable/rational Squarebody owners I know with a C/K30 (no matter the config) keep their trailer weight in the 7-8k with a weight distribution hitch as their safe working load limit...if using as a work truck, then 8k to low 9k lbs would be my absolute max. Anything more has potential to...
If you read the military manuals you will not find the answer to your question and to the purists its not possible.
Based on the references I'm reading from the GM Herritage website the 1008 should have a GCWR of 13,500 lbs. So, in theory a guy deducts the curb weight of the truck from the GCWR...
