I suppose that the gentleman who hung it was incredibly lucky that he didnt have any structural collapse whilst using it to remove and install engines in customer vehicles back then...
Ran the Deuce after the FDC bypass and had a face that was sore from smiling. Feels like an honest 20HP gain...
Until I get my PTO and scissor jack situation figured out, this is my current setup. In the coming off season, this truck will be able to dump.

"A note that gives me shivers though:
- the chain hoist hanging off the bottom chord of that truss might be an accident waiting to happen
I am not so sure that a roofing truss is designed for loading like that at a single point (the way it's set up)."
That chainfall was hung there years...
Finished replacing the Water Outlet Manifold hoses Friday evening. Spent all night in the mud to ensure readiness for more fire wood shenanigans with no leaks.
The next morning I found quite a bit of fuel in the crankcase so I sidelined her for the day until I could complete my FDC delete this...
I'd deliver just for the sake of getting that much seat time in my Deuce if I could afford the time off [emoji28]
Got out of work earlier than planned yesterday and found the spring in the transfer case shift shaft frozen. After some Kroil and forceful persuasion, I reliably have 6x6...
Another day in the woods.
Need to figure out this sprag transfer case engagement soon before I pull my hair out lol. Pulling a loaded dump trailer uphill, my rears will spin long enough (we're talking minutes) for me to think all is lost before the transfer sporadically engages the front axle...

Got an awesome load of firewood in the dump trailer, and my Uncle drove a Deuce for the first time since he was in the Army back in the late 70s.
Edit: the video of him driving it was too long to upload

Forgive me if this has been beaten to death already, just wanted to give credit to my step father for designing this bolt on hitch for my Deuce.
Enables me to pull my dump trailer in the meantime before I install a scissor jack under the truck bed in the next off season.

Had an awesome day off today with the Kaiser.
-Unstuck the blower motor and vacuumed all of the rodent nests from the air ducts.
-Tore the air horn solenoid apart, lubed it up, and was able to get the horns working after playing with the tuning screws.
-Removed the door panels and greased the...
Just want to start with a thanks to this forum. Finally bought a 2.5 ton about 3 weeks ago and have replaced the rear wheel cylinders and every filter using part numbers and torque specs I found here.
Just a few things to dignose/correct before the firewood collection starts here in SE Michigan...
