Yes. We installed a 3000 watt inverter. The company that supplied the a/c installed a cheap 24v inverter, it died quickly, they called us with an urgent need and we stuck in a 12v (what we had in stock) inverter over a year ago.

Oh yeah, they've ran this LMTV across the mine site for two years now with no issues. If you think the military is hard on a vehicle oh should see a coal company parts runner vehicle.
Ive got a coal company client I found an LMTV for to use as a parts truck. They wanted a good a/c at a reasonable price and efficient install. I installed a power inverter for them and they put an RV roof top a/c unit mounted to the turret cover. It will run you out of the cab on the hottest day...
Welcome from WV. I like my LMTV. I've got a couple new air dryers here in Charleston if you can't find one anywhere, you'd have to come pick it up.

Strictly talking CB's, I've had way better longevity out of the new Unidens, 880 & 980, versus the new Cobras. However, I only install about 100 a year.

I had an M931a2 and an LMTV trailer. I was going to do it and everything measured up with not much trouble but sold them both before I could do it. I believe it would work well. I'm was going to relocate the spare tire to over top the cab so the bed would slide close to the cab.

I was going to attempt one a few years ago when I had the pour tuning to get one of those cabs but realized with my work schedule it would never get done. If you do please keep us updated with pictures!

Yes, the case is machined from billet aluminum with hardened gears. It is a gear driven transfer case and not chain driven. It also has the ability to do front wheel drive only in high and low as well as rear and 4 wheel drive, high and low. I hadn't worked on it since it came in. Still sitting...
Lol, well, I got to piddle with it a little more. Radiator and fan finally came in last week and my Advance Adapter Atlas 2 transfer case came in Thursday. I had them build it with a 5 to 1 low range and twin stick shifting kit. Hopefully get to work on it some more soon. You can come back up...
