my 53 gmc had wet bearings on the back when I got it when I replaced the bearings I put it back together with the iner seal to make them dry . boyce equipment was the only place that had wear ring or sleave that fits on the axle (801) 393-0007 antelope valley (661)945-6788 has wheel cylinders...
the bed looks like a m135 maybe dual wheel where added ? the cab cover brings up more questions when did these trucks have the small windows behind the doors ? I have seen them before . is the rear part of the cab where the rear window is could that original ?
napa wheel bearing and chassis grease on every thing white and blue tube or bucket . if you have a seal leak oil from the rear axle to the wheel bearings it mixes . not good but it dose happen and no problem there is no way to know till you take it apart or the outer seal starts to leak .
I used the ramp the fifth wheel was missing when I picked it up . about the only things left are the front axle and one rear axle with out third member and the cab on a rolling frame . parts truck #2 has bad motor trans mission and linkage cab outer windsheld frame .one rear axle and other...
one of my parts trucks is a m 221 the brakes are the same . I bought shoes- wheel cylinders-master cylinder- frount wheel brake hoses from antilope valley . the wheels are the same as the m35 . the best manual I used was tm 9-8024 it is wore out and taped back together it is a must have 688...
your tank sounds like my original tank it was full of pin holes that leaked and a new one always poping up . I was lucky to find a parts truck that when parked that when parked some one pulled the plug on the bottom of the tank to get all the gas out and never put it back in and the tank dryed...
RE: water pump
napa belts gen 25-28583 air compressor 25-28501 no napa oil filter numder you can call Memphis equipment at 901-774-0600 they have some parts for these trucks . also boyce equipment 801-393-0007 and antilope valley equipment 661-945-6788
the m221 has the short tall fuel tank and this truck looks like thats what it has I would say its a m221 . this truck would be easy to drive around town and park . when going to dinner with the spouse . no bed to block your view and a little shorter then a m211 .
RE: Flasher?
not sure about where it is on the m35 but on my m52a2 it.s next to the voltage regulater under the hood it will have 3 wires leading in and have fins
RE: Re: RE: Re: M35 turn signals not flashing correctly
I have had the newer style flashers fail ( wide ) the older( thin) ones have worked better for me . when turn signals act up I have learned to start with the flasher .
RE: What
my 53 gmc set for about 18 years the fuel tank was junk along with the in tank pump I used a small tank to hold gas and put it on the cab to gravity gas to the carb but it bid start and run well enough that I new it was worth saving . lots of parts out there for these trucks
I worked on my gmc for 3 to 4 years . and have almost 7000 miles on it now . I bought two parts trucks and about 12 grand in it . part of that was 12 new tires rebuilt transmission . all new brake parts . new canvas . and lots of time . it's a good truck and it was worth it .
RE: M109A3 Height Clearance
I think most states are mow at 14 feet 6 inches for height but not sure ? I have checked the height if wires by using a fiber glass pole or a pvc pipe with a bicycle safety flag and checked the wires before hualing the load .
the numbers to watch are gross vehicle ? The weight on each set of axles ( steering -drivers- trailer ) and how much weight the truck is registered to carry . the weight laws vary from state to state .
