The turbo you have has the clamped-on exhaust section and the narrow scroll; that sure looks like a "C" turbo to me. I can't speak to the sound that one makes.
If it helps, the original C-turbo is a Schwitzer 3LJ-319 .
The stock truck has no real "exhaust"; it's a header with a stack and the...
Yes, I need to lift the box up a bit, too. That is why I am not worried to accidentally drop it. Yes, Lola is singled in the rear with military surplus Goodyear G286. They are a road tread but ok off road as long as the ground is hard. On soft ground or mud....gone, baby, gone....
Glad you liked...
@Dipstick You got that right! Since the battery box with two batteries weighs a gazillion pounds, the risk of you "accidentally" sliding it out so far that it falls off the truck is nil (based on experience, sample of 1). I did not bother with the part. Mine does not have it installed (and I...
I have found C&C to be a helpful and honest company in my dealings. Why not start with them?
I tried, but cannot make out enough details on your pictures (such as a type or part number) to be of any help.
The wheel bearings specific to the A3 are indeed different and super pricey compared to the A2. You can turn down/modify/replace the spindles and use A2 bearings if you do not keep the CTIS functionality.

Taking the 14000 lbs convertible for a topless spin. Good times!
All fun up to about 30 mph (50 km/h). Then it's goggles and a mask!! Driving longer distance with the windshield down is like riding a Harley, but not ina good way.

@JSBIRD69 I looked at your picture. If your issue is that not all the dots on the front LED light fixture are lighting up, welcome to the club. THAT is a light fixture problem. I had one of these and it annoyed me, each and every time I looked at it. Then I found a spare on the shelf, swapped...
I second verifying ground, cleaning and putting a dab of dielectric grease on them when reassembling. Then on to the switches, as suggested.
In my experience, light gremlins after sitting/storage are mostly corroded grounds.

My 5 cents are that the OP is perhaps not familiar with the types and classes of vehicles that the OP is looking for info on. Is off-road capability (extreme) really a need in a SHTF scenario? Or would most movement not occur along some form of established pathway? Even a tracked vehicle has...
I have a nice grade here in the neighbourhood; about a mile long and a good 200ft elevation change. Known as "The Hill". I run this in 5th, boost goes up to 10-12, EGT climbs to 1000-1050 but no downshift required. Yes, I am bragging! :)
It is an excellent place to detect that the protective...
Normally, a rim with a larger offset than the 10.5 inches the stock rim offers would be the solution. The problem I see is that increased offset makes the whole dual wheel package wider in both directions. On the inside there is not enough room for that. That tells me that one needs to push the...
12.00R20 will fit onto the stock Deuce rims, however, without a spacer between the rims, the tires will likely touch one another under load (a no-no). Also, you need to check the inner clearance to your frame and suspension; on a stock Deuce there is insufficient clearance to run 12.00R20 as...
Queen Lola is home from 5 months in storage. It is OFFICIALLY Spring now.
She started right up - as if she had run only yesterday. Slow fuel drip from a fitting at the secondary filter (which I should have fixed last Fall but didn't). Runs like a champ. 50 mph at under 2000 rpm (gotta love the...
Great that cleaning the contacts worked! The other issue is simply the lack of quality in many of the turn signal flasher units currently on the surplus market. They are fully potted and members experienced in electronic repair stated that repairing the manufacturing defects in these units is...
