I'll take one of the kits depending on final pricing. :)

    deuce hyd power steering

Tom, could you take a quick measurement from the inside of your tire at full lock to the Saginaw box? I'll then figure out if it will work. I don't want to buy it and have to turn around and sell it. I want to buy it and steer with minimal effort! I have cash in hand. I just hope it works...

    deuce hyd power steering

Tom, the Black Rock Fab kit will include an 8" riser arm for the front axle. This should allow me to use your kit and pitman arm. Now, my only question. Will the Saginaw box mounted on the outside of the frame clear my 16R20's on HEMTT wheels?

    deuce hyd power steering

Tom, Would I be able to run 16R20s on HEMTT wheels with your kit? Not sure how much room (if any) the inside of the Michelins would have at full lock on that new steering box now that it's on the outside of the frame. What modifications would be required to allow your steering kit to work with...

I am thinking before I buy.

I'd buy a 5 ton M818 tractor, do a 4-door conversion, and use a cattle trailer hooked to the 5th wheel. They can typically haul a 37,500 lb trailer. :jumpin:

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Well, Redbeard wanted to see it. This is before I popped a hole in the toenail. I will likely wear steel toes from now on while working on the deuce. I wear them all day at work. *shakes head*

Latest bob project gets new CARC

Looks great! It's good to see another truck with all of those holes in the back of the cab. I guess I'll have to fill them with something before my A/C project gets started.

Well, I got dibs on parking in front of Tim's 3rd garage door at the rally. Wait, that's where my deuce is parked right now. hahahahaha *face palm*

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I put in a few hours of hard work yesterday by assembling 2 of the wheels & 53" tires. Thanks to PaTracy for creating this thread on how he put his together. Everything was going perfectly fine until I dropped a deuce rim on my big toe. When I got home I got a safety pin red hot by the...

Air Conditioned Deuce - Option discussion

I called the manufacturer for the A/C kit currently for sale in the classifieds. A.R. Lintern provided the following heating & cooling values for this kit: Heating: 43,000 BTU A/C: 18,000 BTU Not sure if this is large enough for the deuce... Tom, do you think this A/C kit with the lower...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Recy Mech: I don't know what the proper clearance should be for the spare tire/rack assembly. I would think it would need to be more than 11". Red beard: I appreciate your concern about the frame flexibility. But, between the frame stiffening by the cross bracing for the Black Rock Fab frame...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

This weekend was spent finishing the rear axle install, mounting the M105A2 bed, and turning the deuce around to work on installing the Black Rock Fab lift kit on the front axle. I will be bolting the M105A2 bed down through the bed floor, into a rib, through the wood spacer and into the top of...

    Bobbed deuce photoshoot

Kyle, you need to do a photo shoot with your deuce next to other vehicles to compare the sizes.

All the stuff I did to my deuce, right here

Don't forget to dampen the winch cable when you use it to extract yourself or others. A floormat, jacket or something else placed on top of the winch cable mid point along the cable will protect you and others from a whiplash effect if the cable were to snap. You had plenty of cute little...
