LA - Will pay $$$ to get M35A2 bobber axles rebuilt (bearings, boots, etc)

I do not have the time nor the expertise to rebuild my 1970 M35A2 axles on my bobbed deuce. The front boots are torn, and I want to replace the bearings, seals, brake cylinders, etc. I am located in Prairieville, LA (just outside Baton Rouge). I have cash in hand. Let me know your...

    Questions on LED's

Take the 6 screws out and split the housing into its 2 pieces (light housing and bucket housing). The light housing is all sealed up, but the spot where the wiring comes out is where you find the numbers. The bucket housing only has a single grommet for the wires to poke through and a couple...

    Questions on LED's

My LED lights (front/rear) had colored number tags that fell off with minor handling of the lights. I had to open all of the housings in order to properly label each wire. The plastic housing has the corresponding number cast in the inside below each wire where it terminates into the light...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Rained all morning. I couldn't work until after lunch. I had to remove both the winch driveshaft as well as the fuel inlet/outlet lines & brass elbows off the bottom of the injection pump to get the manual steering box out. Ran out of daylight and then the mosquitoes that carry West Nile...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

So, I officially started the power steering install today. I drained the radiator, removed the grille, and removed the fan/radiator. Then the rain came. It has rained every day at my house for the past month. Sometimes I can time it perfectly to come home from work and mow the grass before...

Black Rock Fab 8" Hanger Relocation Lift Kit

I felt the need to update this thread since I completed the installation of the Black Rock Fabrication 8" lift kit on my bobbed deuce recently. Kyle answered all of my questions with the kit. The only hiccup I had was not knowing the difference between FR and RF since he had labeled the lift...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Thanks, Jim. I think I'm going to start tackling the power steering install this weekend (weather permitting of course). I'm going to take the fender and the driver side front wheel assembly off for better access. I'll try to take pics as I go.

I originally built the website March 2011 to show the deuce I just bought. Once I bobbed the deuce the website needed to be updated. Blamo!

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Here's my bobber still in progress. I need to paint it, install the power steering kit, and install the A/C kit. Many more plans with it too!

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I updated my website to show the bobbed/lifted deuce. Tomorrow I will update the "modifications" page to show the bob/lift process as well as my redneck ingenuity used to swap out the existing transmission for a rebuilt unit. Next up: Power Steering, A/C and Paint!
