Okay....I will look some more...that weird though as even the vehicles typically use the same numbers for service tail lights, blackout lights, etc. I'll respond if I find something
I have never owned a 1082 trailer, but just about all of them are going to be the same as the military keeps it simple. Try this one from an M100...it may be what you need, or enough to get your wires in order
There are several military restoration places on the web that have NOS parts for those things as well as reproduction parts that cross over to the jeeps that pulled them. I have rebuilt several of these and if you search a little, you can find the parts to finish it off. If you have specific...
Thank you Chief_919...write up was spot on and your links helped me purchase the correct parts the first time around. I completed the conversion on my M103A3 (MKT trailer) in just a few hours of work which included removing the air system, building a bracket for the electric actuator...
Some great information Mike, thank you. It was a last minute decision, and of course once I got started, I had kids running back and forth getting things I needed LOL. it was pretty comical. I had not yet put all of the utensils in it yet, no containers, and no spices (salt/pepper) or oil/lard...
So after a few weeks of tracking down parts, converting to LED lighting, and converting the trailer to electric over hydraulic braking (for now, but keeping the parts for reconversion back to air over later if I can secure a 5 ton!) I finally decided to cook breakfast for dinner. Using Mikes...
I have never found anyone that does reproduction M416 tubs, but you can still get repo tubes for M100/Bantam trailers. They are not the same size as the M416 is 2 inches wider at the bottom (39 m100 versus 41 inches M416 if my memory serves me well). I think there may be some folks doing panels...
Today I changed out my rear tail lights and converted them over from 24 volt to 10-30 v LED. Knowing what a pain California is I may also add side mark lights in place of the reflectors (or leave those and add marker lights for serious side overkill). I will try and get some pictures up later...
Hello All.......been lurking for a few years and finally joined all the fun. I recently acquired an MKT-85 at a GP auction and have begun the painful process of trying to piece it all back together, I cant complain because other than no MBU's, I had just about everything else. During my research...
I received an upgrade kit I ordered and installed it today...all V3's now : ) As far as the MKT, I believe it was upgraded in 2014 as I found some paperwork that said work was done. Super happy as it had most everything in it and some of the items were not even opened. Mike, is it common for...
Thanks Mike for all the advice and information. I only ran them a few minutes to see them all working in unison. Figured out how to do the video via YouTube so I will do a walk around once I get done. Also, thumb drive went out today.
Well today I hooked up all 6 MBU's in the MKT and fired them all up.....kinda like Christmas morning when I was a kid. All 6 fired up and ran well although two of them have noisy compressors and may need new ones. Getting closer to having this thing ready. Tried to upload a video , but so far...
I now have one in California, all 3 of the other MKts were bought by the same buyer and shipped to Illinois according to the yard guy that helped me load mine up
Happy to say I have recently joined the MKT club as well. Actually found one on GP near where I live. Pictures left a lot of questions, but once I got it home it was mostly complete. With the help of a few people on SS and a little help from eBay, I have managed to find just about all of the...
