The UOC is listed in the front of your TM. Would not hurt to look at it. I am going to assume, something I hate to do, but assume your truck is a M1008A1,Type “B” Cargo, Troop Seat. UOC of 208. If not then its a UOC of 194. Look at the description . It tells you that Item# 3 is used on almost...
I have seen some sets that cut off the air flow to the engine, might be an idea looking into.
The only large gen set I ever saw in the Army with an Air Cut off System was the Stewart & Stevens 52-300, 45 KW gen set. It had a huge solenoid, that when energized, the solenoid snapped opened the...
What you need to look at is the UOC. Usable on Code. That tells you what part goes on what truck. So to make it easy, tell me what TM number you are looking at. Then I can look at the part number/NSN and maybe even tell you what kind of Size/Thread it is.
I have never seen that happen. Mostly, repeated painting causes the linkage to "Freeze Up", or it simply falls apart. The Ball joints are the real trouble spots. Dirt and paint cover them and they can not function as they were supposed to. And last but not least, not adjusted right/adjusted...
One step at a time. Its not hard.
1. Turn the set to Prime.
2. Go get a cup of java.
3. Get done with Java and go back.
4. Do not turn off the Prime function.
5. Go to the primary filter, (Actually a Water Separator) and loosen the OUTPUT fuel line, (Item #9 in the picture). Got pressure?? If...
I have never heard anything like that before. I think something is a bit strange about it.
1. How many sets do you have?
2.What part number is on the AVR?
3. Do all the sets have that same AVR?
4. When was the last time the sets were started?
5. Have you tried to start them all?
6. Fully...
You have a use for 400 hertz gen sets?
What makes you think you need to upgrade the Main Gen, to use a newer AVR? That makes no sense. If you really need 400 hertz power, then I will take a look see at AVR's, and try and find a substitution.
For troubleshooting, look here...
Chief was on the floor. In 1973, the Army was a different place than it is now. I am sure Chief "Big C" would have told you, "If my rifle aint save in a trailer full of 20 soldiers, where would it be safer?"
Everything in the Army has a TM. I seem to remember there being a data plate on the ISU-90 , and it had a TM number stamped on it. I helped depose of a bunch of them in 2008 or 2009. And new/refurbished ones had the TM taped to the inside door. But its been too long for me to remember what the...
