Call me a simpleton Mark but I have a 40" (+-) piece of 2x4 that rides anywhere the towbar goes. Primitive but effective. I adjust the height by adjusting the angle of the wood.
The factory system works fairly well and there are many folks who can help troubleshoot it. What do you think you will gain with using a single 24V system?
If you go that route, you will need to find something that steps the voltage back to 12V to run the rest of your truck. It's a hybrid 12/24V system. Except the starter and resistor that already steps glow plug voltage down, the rest of the truck is 12V. Toss 24V in there and plan on spending...
So, I went through the 34P figuring, I can find it. I didn't. Then I went through the 6.2 34P and didn't find it there. Then I ran to the basement to get out my GM CUCV parts and illustration catalog only to find that I don't have it. I then remembered giving it away years ago. New one...
Hate to see these trucks tortured but it's his and he can do what he wants with it. In the same thought, it's my opinion and I can have whatever opinion I feel and I think he is an idiot. Worse than all that is the wicking of the throttle. I can't for the life of me figure out why some...
Thanks Eric. I got the letter in June. Perhaps it was a wording issue but it sounded like an outside source was switching folks. Folks themselves should be the one changing insurance companies.
Question on this. Folks are talking about getting switched from Gulfway to Hagarty. Who is doing the switching? I thought Gulfway was the agent and Hagarty was the insurer? I know Gulfway used to peddle Travelers. I''m confused.
I think the gear splits on the 465 are worse, We'll do a little comparo when mine gets out of the garage. I'm using the gasser version and a Dodge 208 which has a fixed rear yoke. should be okay.
I will but don't expect a report anytime soon. I need to get it running to get it off church property then it's going to sit for quite a few months. While getting it ready to remove fender I noticed the wiring, figured I better secure a harness while I can.
My NOS harness from White Owl arrived today. The wiring and insulation is as supple as a prom queens thigh. While laying out a new harness wouldn't be that tough, crimping all those connection with my Daniels AF-8 crimper (proper tool) would be tedious. Years ago they were a buck each, bet...
Oh, if your flintstone truck has a removable pan above the trans, keep that and about 6" of the floor all the way around. Another seemingly hot commodity is the area of the dash where the radio goes. If it's not molested, cut that out too. Here is the best way to cut them.
