    Wheel hop

You could remove the shocks and manually push them in and out to see if there is any dampening resistance left in them. Jeff

    New V-100

I can look on my case but it's an odd ball. Cad-Gage was based in Coco Beach, Fla until bought by Textron and what wasn't moved to Lousiana was sold at auction. For years Textron didn't give a hoot about the vehicles, they were after the turret systems, until the Iraq war came along and DOD...

    LAV 150 Information

Early 150's were gas, most were diesel. They probably have a V-150 and not a LAV-150 which were cummins powered. Jeff

Ending prices not shown on GL

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Ending prices not shown on GL Robyn is awful silent on this one. She also never answered my question about how she was able to drive the M813 to the East Coast Rally, probably because it was done illegally. I can't blame them for playing games with the bidding to jack...

    Re- babbitting a barring.

Why remove the piston? Just remove the bearing shell and have it re-babbited. It will require a bit more set up on the maching shop side but you won't have to disturb the rest of the engine. We are doing the bearings for the Virginia Museum for Military Vehicle's M1917 tank. Jeff...

    importing armor from outside US

Five years later the handyman Ferrets are here. Shipping to the states is getting expensive. The guy who sent me these to sell also has an Abbot and a FV432 available. Jeff

    GL at Aberdeen

RE: Robyn Robyn I'm curious, I did not notice dealer tags on the trucks in the auction at the East Coast Rally and I understand you drove one of the five ton up there yourself. Do you have a CDL since the M813 is over 26,000 GVW? Were the trucks driven up w/o tags? Jeff

Looking for a M270 or M172 style trailer

Yes, it's about 9.5' wide. I don't have original ramps but they are HEAVY anyway. I could make up some lighter ones that would hold up to your half-track. I also have extra radial tires on rims, if you'd like to convert from bias-ply. It needs wood work done to it but otherwise it's in good...

    M35 registration/tags in VA

I wouldn't worry about it. There is no weight limit on antique tags in Virginia and if you ever go to get regular tags you can register for whatever GVW you want to pay for. Also, on the property tax issue, there are no property taxs collected on antique vehicles in Virginia. Some countys charge...

    M123 parts

Direct Support had new distributors but i think they burned up when he committed suicide. You might try memphis. I think the internal dist parts are standard GI. Original GI NDCCs are about impossible to find. Gene on the old MV list had a dist for sale at one point, also. Jeff

    53 m38a1 compatability with 55 cj5

i just built three. brake hydraulics and rubber lines and shoes were the same as cj but waaay cheaper thru the surplus market than car-quest. exhaust is probably different but it's also readily available thru mv-dealers. i had good luck with bensinger, army jeep parts and surplus city for canvas...

    M819 RECEIVES NTC400!!

I don't know anything about the truck pictured, it's up for auction. The M915 is a different animal than the M809 series. There's a pic of my former M915A1 in the photo sction. The sheet metal won't easily interchange. Here's another convert, it looks like a 400:
