    Coolant hose replacements

Use extreme caution when removing the water manifold bolts. They have a tendency to break of. I did a light tap on each one with a hammer, soaked them with PB Blaster, light tap again, and removed them. None broke off. I replaced all of them with grade-8 bolts and used anti-seize compound...

Ray, How long did it take you to do the install? I want to put mine on, but need to address the soft top-to-windshield frame repair. Looks good!

A/C in the Deuce using TM Americas alternator mounts

Shannon, Nice install. You really will enjoy the comfort of the a/c. I am glad I took the time and effort to install mine. Did you use the twin belts or the serpentine setup? Today, I replaced the Autozone belts with Gates Green Stripe 9555 FleetRunners. Without the tensioner pulley, the belts...

    M35a2 A/C system

Orren, I thought I would need to max out with the insulation until I got the unit in a hooked up. Plenty cold without extra or additional insulation. And I have a soft top. I did put some of the silver/foil, felt-type material(Auto carpet padding) behind the seats, but basically that's all I...

    M35a2 A/C system

I also put a/c in my deuce and you can't run it very long on Hi or it will freeze you out! Well worth the effort. Not all that hard if you work on your on vehicle. I posted the install under "Air Conditioning a Deuce." I am working on a plug and play version. I used the A/C unit designed for the...

Ron, I do the touch-a-truck here in Maitland, FL every year. My M35 is a real attention getter. I really enjoy showing it off and the kids climb all over it. Wish I was a bit closer. Enjoy and thank you and all the other MVers for your participation.

You are going to love it when it's done. No one will ever want to ride in the back again. I really enjoy mine in the deuce.

    Rattle can paint advice

I used about 45 cans of Krylon Camo Green to paint ALL the Deuce. I sanded the rough spots, used a little Bondo on a few rust spots, Sanded and primed those areas, and wiped the areas I painted each session. I did buy a finger trigger from The Handy Hardware Place. I painted the entire truck...

    PTO Question

I am about to install a 10,000lb Garwood winch on the Deuce. I have installed the PTO and the shift lever mechanism. I feel I have the correct amount of "play" in the output shaft at the PTO. My question is: with the truck running, can I engage the PTO from the cab to make sure it is working...
