That may be a better way to go and would look more original. Will the Gamma Goat lenses just change out with the original M135 lenses or do we need the whole assembly?
I started working on prepping some metal parts to paint today. While doing so I decided to change the taillights to the more modern ones for visibility sake. I kind of don't like to do it, but would rather not get wrecked into.
I noticed today that I am developing an exhaust leak where the intake and exhaust manifold bolts together. So it looks like it is time to replace all of the gaskets involved with that.
Does anyone have a part number for the alignment sleeves? Any tips you can offer? I am going by the manual if...
That is a rebuild tag. One of my parts trucks has one similar.
Yeah. I thought that was neat too. I'll probably duplicate that on mine. I guess these are supposed to be driven at 40 not 58.
Here are the data plates for those two trucks. The one from the front of the building is on the left.
We took the kids to visit my parents for spring break and while out there, my dad told me he had found some M135's that I might be able to buy some parts off of. We got ahold of the owner and went to look. I ended up buying the mirrors off of this truck and the man gave me the gas can.

I sent you a PM. I'm getting close to posting up the parts...
I have been speaking with a moderator about getting the elusive parts list posted up here very soon. (Within the next 2 weeks if all goes well)
Please let me know any part numbers that you have for the G749 so I can get them added to the list.
We have a lot of part numbers guys and I think...
Welcome to the forum!! Neat project. We are getting close to putting out a part list on these trucks that will help you out on getting the beast how you want it. Parts for these are more available than most people realize.
That all looks great! Could you post some more pictures on how you did the main power switch? I need to do the same. Electrical is not my strong point.
Do you know how to test the military wires to see if they are any good? I have two sets, but would need to get the military spark plugs. I don't want to buy those just to find out the wires are bad after I install everything.
Are you using the military distributor and military plugs, civilian distributor and civilian plugs or military distributor with civilian plugs?
My truck tries to run like what you are describing. I have military distributor with civilian plugs. Maybe one of mine is cracked as well.
These fighters are from the Air National Guard base not far from my house. I just saw in the paper that the pilots are back to flying again. The paper didn't say much more than that and didn't say what they were back to flying. Flying a desk now? Sent flying out the front gate? Flying F-16's...
All the ones I have seen are painted, but the one currently in my truck has a slick, shiny surface underneath and the paint chips off. The paint on it does not come off as easily as yours.
I am probably going to try self etching primer on mine to see if that helps before I repaint it.
I installed the air pressure switch today and it is working perfectly. It threaded right into the T fitting that was on the truck.
I had to make these wires to add some length to what was already there since this switch is quite a bit lower than where the original is supposed to be.
Here it...
I have had no luck finding a rebuild kit for the old air pressure switches, so I ordered the Bendix 228750 switch that topo told us about.
It is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. As soon as the wind and snow stops blowing, I will install it.
