So was going through and greasing my u-joints today and I noticed that my fording plug was in, and from everything I've read it should not be and should be stored in the threaded pocket.
When I removed it there was a very odd non viscous liquid behind it it's not dripping out after the plug was...
In the process of installing mine once i return from sea, the new ones seem to have a purely better design then the old units. I was lucky enough to be able to use my existing mount, My air lines are a bit crusty so i might just bite the bullet and replace as many of them as i can.
98G has helped me more times then I can count and it's a great relief to know he's there if you have questions. First thing I always do on any vehicle is fuel system I am in the process of ordering a new aftermarket fuel water separator. Water is never a good thing. Best of luck
The steps brake down for easy transport, i need to add a lower support as they will sway slightly if anyone over ~270lbs steps on them. Ill take a few photos of it on the truck tomorrow.
I made an aluminum staircase with grated aluminum steps weighs about 80 ish pounds the top flight platform is 36x36 has two pieces of c channel that hold onto the top of the tailgate. 6 steps comes down to just about 12" off the ground. I'll take a picture of it when I'm around the truck...
That rubber mat is cheap peice of mind for me as I've arched a battery before and scared me for life.
