Take a look at this... https://www.xm381.com/Civi_to_Mil_Info.html
These folks have a “ plug and play” adaptor. I bought one to connect a military vehicle to a 12 volt trailer and it works just fine . They also make units to go the other way.
Why not rent a UHaul car hauler trailer. It would cost a bit more but you can better secure your “new” trailer and it won’t bounce nearly as much. I think your ride quality while returning home would be worth the extra rent fee and it might be a lot safer.
All M series vehicles, including trailers, are 24 volt unless someone coverts them to 12 volt. Your trailer may just have 12 volt bulbs on the tail lights. You can purchase LED tail lights that will work on 12 or 24 volts. I left the stock 24 volt tail lights on mine so I could tow it with M37...
Welcome to both of you. You will find this site is a great place to spend some down time hanging out with some really nice folks.
BTW, please post pictures of your vehicle.
The advantage of repeating this survey from scratch is, as time passes the demographics may change. I am hoping that the younger age groups continue to grow. This is the best web site on the planet!

Welcome aboard Farmer1. You are getting good advice from guys that know your vehicle. Skinny says a new harness is a good place to start and I agree. My 1951 M37 has a new harness ( installed in 2001) and I have had no wiring issues at all. I read on here a lot about butchered wiring and the...
Thanks Wes. I’m not sure how I would make these work in my 14” tank. They have a 10” unit then jump to 17” . Our beloved and grossly inaccurate M series gauges go from 0 ohms to I think 40 ohms. So you would have to replace the gauge to match these units. Now I have to measure the tank in my M37...
Now you have my interest. I was not aware that there was some other type of sending unit. I had a hard time finding a replacement unit. The one I found is a float type much like the original unit. What does the newer one look like?
When I turned my M101 into a “camper”, I bought a vinyl top for a M880. The size was perfect and it had a clear window on the front and rear flaps. I also made my bows out of 3/4 conduit. I riveted 1/4” plywood on the top of the bows. Then I put a 1” piece of foam insulation on top of the...
