Check your voltmeter. Mine shows no charge when the heater fan won’t work. I flip the start box on and off until I hear the heater fan come on. I’m sure I have a relay sticking, but whatever feeds the fan seems to also feed the exciter on the charge circuit.
No, I don’t need to know that to sell an exact replacement from a parts truck. I’m sure with some research you can find it in the parts manual and the internet.
Steering box I have available in a couple weeks (I have to move the hulk one more time to it’s final resting place and need the steering) The other piece is the drag link, I will only have that used. They are available NOS from a few places.
Depends on what you’re looking for. I have a 1078 with the higher 290hp engine, 3:07 gears and a rear axle locker. I have it listed @$19.5k and it will take every bit of that to pry it out of my hands. It’s registered and titled. Not just an auction flip.
Replaced the broken window cranks with some cheap Mack truck ones I found. Not much for the chrome (since found out they are available in black also) but they fit and work great.
Im going to get the black ones now just to finish it off better. Only mod I had to make was to open up the hole in...

I'll be honest, the 3:07 sure puts my truck right where it feels like it wants to be. I have towed about 9-10,000 lbs and another 2k in the bed and its doing pretty well. I think in my duty cycle ( I don't want to go 75 mph) and towing some weight I would not like the performance at all with...

Its funny, that's the only way wheel's wife knew him was as KGR. I'm so glad I got to spend a few good hours at the last rally both hanging out at the registration tent and driving Ron around to get all the deals he had worked on with the gator to save the walking and carrying.
Ron and I spent...
