    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

That's the correct resistor for use with Libby Regulator

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

T1 as I recall is the transformer you need to check to be sure it's the Libby version

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

R16 is on the back of the 50/60 Hz switch

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

The transformer in the second picture is not the transformer you need to check. In the picture is the current transformer. That one stays the same regardless if Libby or TRC. Dud the set come with a bad Libby regulator in it or was it missing?

Great to hear you got it figured out! :)

New Member 803a fires but won't run.

Assuming the new L5 is wired correctly.... From looking at the schematic the hold signal comes from the K12 Engine Fault relay. If the set thinks it has an engine fault upon startup it will enable the K12 Fault relay and cause L5 to loose it's HOLD signal so that the engine shuts down. That...

New Member 803a fires but won't run.

On the new solenoid did come with instructions with what wire did what. There should be Ground wire, a Pull wie and a Hold wire. Need to match them up with the wire designation in the TM. If the starter still grinds when it's running and you move S1 to start indicates that the starter lockout...

804 Alternator charging ckt help please ?

Might it be the alternators BAT terminal need to be connected to 24V BEFORE the IGN terminal gets 24 V?

Yay I get to track down 24v gremlins - gauge issues, crank issues, K1 control, OP switch

Yes, I have all the pins you requested. Was waiting on the last damn part for the 60Hz controllers. Can ship the pins now if you want. Just let me know.

    Mep-803a high idle

Sounds like the pin on the new IP isn't in the slot in the fuel rack and is pressing down on the top of the rack instead binding the fuel rack. Just my guess...

MEP-803A Need p/n for coolant high temperature switch

It's in the -24P TM. The engine sensors are later in the manual than the up front electrical stuff. You can search the 88-22203 in the TM. It'll show you where in the TM its shown.

MEP-803A Need p/n for coolant high temperature switch

The NSN number of it is 5930-01-378-6882 which is PN 88-22203. Other PN's that are the same are 8037122 & TM-512C3-225N0 There are some on ebay. Search the NSN number. $15 shipped.

    MEP-803A voltage quit

It simply a non conductive board with two dual spade connectors riveted on it. The only thing that could go bad is if the metal tabs of the connectors on it get corroded leading to poor or no contact.

    MEP-803A voltage quit

In the -24 it's referred to as Connector Board AS. Appears to be the connection point where the Exciter wires get hooked to and where the F1 and F2 wires from the VR get hooked to. I suspect you found 1 or more of those 4 wires not connected to it. Just my guess based on its markings. People...

    Mep 806A

Yes you can replace a TRC transformer with another TRC transformer. Same is true for the other parts.

    Mep 806A

The sets were built with two different Voltage Regulators and support components. If it's a LIBBY VR the sets Voltage Adjust Potentiometer, R16 resistor and T1 Power Transformer in the set are specific to the LIBBY VR. If it's a TRC VR the sets Voltage Adjust Potentiometer, R16 resistor and T1...

    MEP-803A voltage quit

This tell me that there is an open circuit in the wiring to the Exciter or the Exciter has developed an open in it. Label wires on terminals 5 & 6 on the VR and then remove them from the Voltage Regulator (VR). Use your meter to measure the resistance between the two wires just removed from...
