I've used Delo 100 40wt & Rotella T 40wt with excellent results in my DDs.
Thanks for posting up the useful info about proper oil for 2-stroke DDs. [thumbzup]
PM'd the OP for confirmation.
I also initially thought it was an A3 due to the immediate mention of the 14.50 tires...but then I had to re-read it to see that he listed it as an A2.
I all too frequently put my figurative foot in my mouth while posting, so I had to re-read it a few times to...
From my experience the 11.00x20 bias-ply tires will rub sidewalls if run as duallies on the stock Deuce rims...in that case better to stick to 9.00 or 10.00 tires. You can buy these sizes in radial as well, although the bias-ply will have stronger sidewalls.
ETA: If you decide to run the...
I know it sounds dumb, but it worked on my truck...try removing your in-tank fuel return elbow and check the drop-in return line. Mine were rubber, and they were disintegrating as well as swollen to the point that it was restricting fuel. When doing research I found that some other engines'...
My local hydraulic hose supplier has hundreds of those fittings in stock...they brazed up various combinations for me at little charge. You could use a compression-to-compression fitting to fit the two lines together without clamping.
Look for your local Parker distributor, or anywhere that...
Looks like a tapered (AN-style) swivel fitting. Find a hydraulic hose shop and have them make new ones based on the old ones...disconnect old hose, clean it up, take it in for same-same measurement & fabrication.
I have had the best luck finding your nearest Parker hose outlet and trying that...
My aftermarket bucket seats had more room to recline with the soft top...it allowed the seats to "cheat" back farther for more room. My hardtop rear window intrudes into the cab, preventing the seats from reclining comfortably now.
It's a trade-off.
WOW you're off to a good start! Keep at it, it will be running & operating before you know it, and you'll be grateful for it!!
When I cleaned out a couple of Deuce fuel tanks not too long ago, I was told by some old-time radiator repairmen to clean it out by hand as best you can, then put some...
In addition to what Shotgun mentioned above, I also replaced all fuel lines & rebuilt tank selector switch (931A2, dual tanks). And after sitting, it still lost prime.
I had a cracked return line from someone overtightening fitting into 90-degree elbow on top of one tank...I removed the elbow...
It's easier than an A2, I can tell you that much...I just replaced all 4 seals in my M931A2 driver's side hub...the 2 air seals for CTIS are a PITA to get seated properly.
Recently I acquired some used tools from an estate sale, one of the items I was really interested in was an Ingersoll-Rand 3/4-inch drive impact gun in very good condition. It was old, but very usable, just had to replace the trigger as it was broken off.
I went to Discount Air Tool Repair in...
