M1152A1 6.5T, 4L80E TCM stays hot to touch after shut down.

Could not find specific description/remedy in troubleshooting guide. However, did replace TCM with recent manufacture replacement and all discrepancies are now resolved. Thank you to all that offered assistance.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

M1152A1 6.5T, 4L80E TCM stays hot to touch after shut down.

Transmission is in limp mode. TCM stays hot to touch after shut down, even until following day until I disconnect large cannon plug to TCM module enclosure. Nothing I could find in the TM describes this. Have bought replacement TCM but reluctant to swap it out and possibly ruin it. Was non...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Thank you for the advice, Coug. Yes actually, I live right on the coast. I am familiar with Inter granular corrosion, and it will be prevented/mitigated by adequate means.

I previously posted this photo of my doors a few months ago. Doors are 1/2” thick aluminum (2 slabs of 1/4” bonded together). 400% thicker than the 1/8” thick aluminum doors offered by most other aftermarket fabricators. These doors are fabricated by “TwistedMetalwork.com”. My plan is to use...

Sourced it “from a guy” on craigslist.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Converting my M1152A1, serial #347XXX into M1165A1 GMVish. First photo is day I picked it up from Albany Georgia. Following photos are today after M1114 hardtop is modified to fit, and aft bulkhead is fabricated to contain a new 3” ballistic glass window originally produced for MRAPs. Side rails...

    Light bar!

The unfortunate people in an oncoming lane that don’t dim hi-beams will forever need a red tipped cane!

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Out and about on the Outer Banks, NC. Noticed this welcome sign at a local eatery. Sorry, couldn’t get my Humvee in the photo.

Probably been beaten to death but is there any way to know if your truck ever went anywhere?

Not to worry, it was only in clean saltwater.

    Slantback M1043A2

Great photo analysis Mogman, you are spot on as usual! 👍👍 Casual observers, myself included, missed the obvious. New owners of Humvees, again, myself included, have so much to learn from information found on SS, and I can’t thank you experienced members enough for graciously sharing your wealth...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

God bless you! Enjoy your well deserved retirement. I applaud the life your have control of. I on the other hand (as possibly others following this thread), have yet to completely deliver the various commitments I am morally and honor bound to achieve. Slowly but surely, I am moving forward...

Your tank looks like it belongs there. It’s a nice installation that may inspire more Humvee owners to do the same. Diesel fuel was first to sell out last year at the beginning of the fuel shortage in my area. We didn’t have any availability for about 10 days, which was totally unpredictable...

Extending my Humvee’s range by roughly a thousand miles as well. Mine is a 78 gallon MRAP fuel tank encapsulated with “Battle Jacket” self healing coating. Will take multiple hits from AR-15 and other small arm rounds and continue to be serviceable . Watch video:

Not installed yet, today received this locking fuel door. I know it won’t stop someone intent on stealing fuel, sufficient to serve as anti tamper or discourage a crime of opportunity. Beautiful craftsmanship, made to order right here in the USA! Edit; Subsequent comments have prompted me to...

I like the eyebrow. Yes, just radius the ends, will look great. That overhang could be useful to mount lights without need for additional light bar. Wish mine has it. 👍
