The guy who did all the metal work on my tractor has been working building this 1/48 scale model of the U.S.S. Saratoga. As you look at the pictures keep in mind that it is all hand made. We rolled it out today and sand blasted the hull which is all I could do with my machine as it would tear up...

It's not much but I got the assembly for the hitch put together today minus the hitch, still have to blast and paint it. Also installed bracket's for the bed and blasted front and rear drive shafts and brake chamber parts.

Finally got going again on my M125. Dismounted tires, installed brake drums and slack adjuster's, disassembled brake chambers to clean and inspect. I was very surprised how clean the inside's were when the outside's were so dirty and rusty. Also going through and replacing the pinion seals.

I kept it between 40 and 45 which in turn kept the rpms around 26 to 2700 rpm. This Cummins V8 300 is good to about 3100rpm.

I was slightly wrong on the fuel mileage. 60gallons in 260 miles comes to 4.3 miles per gallon. These pigs are sopposed to only get 3 miles per gallon.

We ripped out early Friday morning and made it about 40 miles outside of Jacksonville and had a flat. The weather couldn't have been worst, cold, raining. It stopped us at 7:45 and didn't get back on the roaduntil 10:15. But the rest of the ride down went good. I ended up getting the Best of...

Theres still plenty to do on this truck. Inever touched the interior and theres alot of little things that dont show up in pictures that I need to do.

Right down to the wire. Just got every thing done about 6 p.m. tonight . I'll be heading out between 5 and 6 in the morning for Belleview.

I couldn't have the clutch looking all good by itself. It is what I call the snow ball effect. I won't be making the rally, I'm driving down to the Belleview show Friday morning.

Almost done, hung the fenders and installed the lights today.

Put the cable on the winch today. Used the 5 ton with the parking brake set for resistance. I didn't have a disabled tank. :smile:
