    axle boot

I tried to order a pair of non-zippered boots from TNJ Murray, but when I tried to check out, I got an error code. I couldn't find a phone number for them. Does anyone have any contact information for them? Thanks, Scott

    Gaskets

2deuce, I recommend against reusing intake gaskets. They are cheap. You may never have a problem, but if you have a leak, you will probably not know it. Dust could be sucked in, leading to premature engine wear. Just my $.02. Scott

    Second Bi-Annual TX MV Rally

I will do my best to make it with my M35A2. My work situation has gotten more steady in the last few weeks, so that shouldn't be an issue. I will definitely be looking forward to it. Scott

Rear axle leak, time for service

The parts (bearings, seals, axles, etc.) are all available as civilian parts. Consult parts/rebuild manuals or the internet for disassembly, repair, and reassembly tips. These axles are actually very easy to work on. Scott

    CUCV Instrument Cluster Repair

You can replace the bulbs with the cluster in place, from the back. You have to really reach up behind the dash, but it is possible. Scott

    ignition switch repair

Recovery4X4, if Rory posts pictures, please don't think ill of me-I was wearing my sunglasses:-P. But it was only because we were in his driveway at 2:00 p.m., and the sun was shining very brightly in Central Texas. I also used an adjustable wrench at one point, because I didn't have the correct...

    ignition switch repair

Replace the lock cylinder. It isn't a hard job, if you have the right tools, specifically, a tool to depress the lock plate so you can remove the c clip that retains the lock plate. Luckily for you, Rory, I have this tool, and I know how to use it. Scott

    power steering fluid leak

The seals and bearings will go out in those. You can get a rebuild kit, but it requires some specialized tools to actually do the job right (ask me how I know). You can go to a wrecking yard, or you can try the auto parts store. I bought a Hydro-boost gearbox for my civvy diesel about 2 or 3...

    M1010 A/C Compressor

P.S. I would think the civilian compressor would work. I don't know why they would use a different one. Scott

    M1010 A/C Compressor

Mark, when I did my civvy vehicle, I was told that R-134A operates at a higher pressure than R-12. I recharged with R-12, and the compressor lasted about 3 days. I put a new compressor on (about $140.00) replace the filter, drier, and orifice, and had new hoses built. The theory on the hoses is...

    KaBOOOOM---and the M1009 is dead

Stan, I've seen 2 batteries blow up. On one, a guy was attaching jumper cables, and the spark ignited the hydrogen gas. Luckily for him, the side blew out. Had the top blown, it would have gone straight into his face, as he was leaning over the battery. This is why it is recommended that the...
